What else can I say about me?

I grew up in a wonderful house in Takoma Park, sheltered by oak trees and strong liberal values. My family and friends were as supportive and stable. I jumped in leaf piles in the fall, made snowforts in the winter, splashed through mud puddles in the spring and caught fireflies in the summer. My high school was a haven for kids who could fit in if they wanted to but decided that it wasn't worth their time. I liked it there.

My life is also full of music. Mostly the kind you can make yourself in a field somewhere with no amplification necessary. Just give me my mandolin and a quiet spot to play and I'm happy.

Basically I've got places to go but I'm in no hurry to get there. I'm an optimist at heart despite moments of cynicism.

I am confident, intricate, and vocal

I can now officially call myself an alumna of Oberlin College, though I'm not sure exactly where that'll get me. I spent the last four years studying biology so that someday I can go to grad school and learn about marine biology. I'm going to be a fish expert! Other things I'd like to do include go to the UK for a while, and then live in the woods with a labratory and a labrador retriver and a person that I am in love with.

At the moment, however, I am working at a completely awesome independent coffee shop. Learing all there is to learn about how to serve up a nice cup of coffee, or sandwich, or pastry. I am perfecting my latte making skills.
