My Self-Summary
I am interested in a number of things, namely history, politics, traditions, as well as music (a rock fan), but my taste is pretty broad - except for Hip hop - and I love hearing about new music, science fiction stuff (particularly Doctor Who), zombie combat techniques, and what to do if the Salt People invade.

I'll watch an international game of anything if there are other people to join me and beer's involved. I also enjoy video games (my housemates and I repeatedly play Mario Kart), and love a good debate about all and sundry.

I am geeky, clumsy, and English

What I’m doing with my life
Currently in south London with some good friends of mine living the good life. Now I've returned to university to study a Masters in Politics - my employer, the British House of Commons, is funding it, whoop! I'm slowly gathering all the Doctor Who stories on DVD (from 1963 on). Sadly, my housemates, cool as they are, are not geeks.

I'm also currently making a kick-ass Hallowe'en costume based on Dr. Horrible. It's fun being arts and craftsy for once.

I’m really good at
Making people laugh. I'm a total geek with history and local curiosities, and enjoy both listening to and taking part in discussions, whether it be about politics or music, or what colour the sky is. I can be pretty good at giving people advice but rarely listen to it myself! I can wax lyrical about parliamentary customs and the history of the British constitution. It's more interesting than it sounds.

The first things people usually notice about me
There's usually a book grafted onto my anatomy somewhere. I wear glasses, yes, and I'm quite shy when first meeting someone in person but quickly warm up and get back into the swing of things. I can have a terrible short-term memory sometimes, but it normally improves once I know you better.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
I tend to preoccupy my thoughts with certain political things, particularly the Constitution of the UK, as it's a bizarre, unique, fascinating and wonderful creature. There's a lot right with it that a lot of people at first glance think is wrong, but there's a wealth of good reasons why it is the way it is, and I love debating and explaining with others about how and why. I'm also constantly reading history so my neurons will be firing with ideas about what's happened and how it's affected the world around me.

On a typical Friday night I am
Setting fire to things in the back garden, watching the telly or playing video games, or devising my plan of attack for the weekend.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
The Princess Bride is an overrated movie.
