Cooking and baking have been major interests for several years. I lean towards the technical, scientific aspects of cooking, and am frustrated by imprecise measurements such as the common "rounded tablespoon". I especially enjoy baking yeast bread, and have become increasingly interested in other forms of fermentation.
Much of the remainder of my free time is taken up by bicycles. I have an '80s road bike and a fixed-gear, and I always seem to be tinkering or switching out parts on one or the other.
Other hobbies I dabble in from time to time include juggling, unicycling, Dungeons & Dragons, and the occasional video game.
