I'm a nature loving, roller derby playing, bike riding, ex-computer geek, regrettably ex-vegetarian, once upon a time musician, punk rock, photographer dad, uncomfortably employed as a CST and still dreaming about hiking the AT. On the surface anyway.... Digging deeper, I have occasional bouts of compulsive creativity when I have an uncontrollable urge to make something. It's resulted in a number of musical instruments, several boomerangs, costumes, shelves, and various other objects. Somewhat related to that compulsion, I am also a bit of a pack rat always trying to find space for various electronic devices, pieces of wood, and anything else that could be just what I need for something I haven't come up with yet.

Although I'm not actively looking for a relationship, I am always interested in meeting new people and am open to whatever may develop. I have a very smart, often hyperactive, 10 year old son who I see whenever my schedule allows. He lives with his mom (who I'm separated from but still on good terms with) near by so it's easy to get time with him.

Roller Derby saved my soul and consumes my life. I've been skating for PVRDs Dirty Dozen for over a year and it's probably the best decision I've made. It gives my reckless tendencies a purpose, keeps me in shape, lets me get out all my aggression, and, of course, it's fun as hell.

I've settled in fairly well at my job doing in-store tech support for a major cell phone provider. Most of my day is spent trying to fix other people's problems and it's made me realize that working in customer service requires very nearly masochistic tendencies. I still do prefer customers that don't treat me like crap, though.

That I'm either friendly and entertaining or awkward and socially inept, depending on the day.

That I'm somewhere they didn't expect me to be.

Not really... I'm sure now what people notice first is my 'stache. Like it or hate it, people definitely notice. Pictures will be coming but I'm two years into a "Dali" for the curious.

(C) continued... Local and indie bands. What's better than watching a band that blows your mind? Hanging out with them at the bar, going to the after party, or laying down tracks in their side project. Some bands I see whenever I have the time: Swill Merchants, The Room, Space Captain, The Novels, Nude Black Glass, GBNE, Rane, The Next Extension, Us Against the Archers, School for the Dead, Worlds Greatest Dad, Rabbit Rabbit, and so many more .....

(D) Thai, Chinese, Indian, Sushi, Mexican, properly prepaired tofu, homemade cookies, rammen noodles. I used to be a vegetarian, slacked off because it doesn't work well with my lifestyle and I just like eating (good) meat.

(D) subcatagory - Drinks: highball, microbrews, anythimg from Stone brewery and Dogfish Head, red wine, PBR, dark ale, coffee, diet RockStar, Silk chocolate soymilk.

Not counting the basics for comfortable survival... The things that make life worthwhile are (in no particular order) my son, the great outdoors, artistic/personal expression, unique company, time to myself, roller derby and all that comes with it.

How something becomes "art" and why something ordinary is seen as art simply because it was done by someone famous. How I'm going to pay for all the film I still need to develop. What to do for a living. How to see in black and white. Whether there is any career I can be satisfied with for the long term.

When I'm lucky enough to not be stuck closing at work I'm probably roaming around downtown NoHo with my camera

I want to believe in faeries but struggle with the extreme scientific improbability such a creature could exist.
I also enjoy musicals.
