I am candid, empathetic, and eccentric.
My Self-Summary
Usually living in/near nature,
musician,
artist,
political activist. Eat and live healthily,
except for the odd ocassion. Frequent
traveller exploring new social and
cultural realms.
Love
dancing.
What I’m doing with my life
Travelling 7
years around Australia, South East
Asia,
India and more recently Berlin.
Our environmental crisis is too great for me to keep jet-setting
so
for 3 years i have been living at Wangi Wangi (
Lake Macquarie) enjoying
company of friends and travellers that dop in. Visit nearby Sydney
and Newcastle once a month, Melbourne once a year. Will probably
revisit Berlin next year.
I’m really good at
Music,
lateral thinking,
patience
Understanding perspectives of people different from me.
Finding a path through life where i do not have to bullshit or
compromise, though maybe everyone can be good at that if they
really want to be.
The first things people usually notice about me
Look healthy. Tall.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
(a) WRITERS/Books
TIM WINTON,
GREG BEAR,
HELEN GARNER,
autobiographies,
ROBERT HEINLEIN,
KURT VONNEGUT,
Radio
National (the more the Australian Government hates it, the more
i love it! :)
(b) DIRECTORS/Movies
Arthouse
cinema is my
preference but since appreciating that life is already an
interesting art movie, I don't watch much anymore.
i keep away from US cinema (especially Hollywood) with the
exception of
DAVID
LYNCH,
STANLEY KUBRICK, South Park,
MICHAEL MOORE,
ROBERT ALTMAN.
(c) FOOD
Organic food,
generally
vegan but
eat kangaroo since it is
free-range and better for our
environment than cattle. Just started my first ever vegie
patch.
(d)MUSIC
Mainly making my own music and listening to my friends.
Don't listen to any artist over-and-over but have much respect for
Brian Eno,
Shpongle,
WARP RECORDS
(
Autechre,
Square
Pusher,
Aphex
Twin),
Prodigy,
Elliot Smith,
Radio Head,
Dead Can Dance,
Indian Classical,
Nusrat
Fateh Ali Khan,
Michael Brook,
Ani DiFranco,
Neil Young.
The six things I could never do without
1) Music
2) Laptop (but i would do without if the whole world agreed
to get rid of computers... i am sure interesting alternatives would
arise),
3) Nature
4) Solitude
4) Friends As Louis Buñuel said: "Solitude is a wonderful
thing - as long as you can talk about it with someone afterwards."
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Protecting nature, social justice, art, and thinking about
thinking.

On a typical Friday night I am
Friday? That's a day of the week, right? Luckily I don't have
schedules.
