I am multifaceted, antisocial, and creative.

My Self-Summary

On a search for greater meaning of myself, in myself. Defining my life through thoughts, words and pictures- i tend to write in order to clarify in writing what my mind can't seem to clarify on its own.

I crave intelligence. Contemplation, expansion, discussion-- I live to push thoughts to limits and ideas to their full potential. I thrive on ambition. I loathe apathy. There is passion in everything I do.

Inspire me, captivate me, intrigue me.

I'm a bit of a geek. Yes, I am that girl who has seen every episode of the Xfiles twice and went to see Serenity in the theater in costume. I'm into obscure movies, apocolypse lore and ancient history. I tried to learn to speak Sumerian just to use it in a story. My friends laugh at me because I'll get riveted to the television, watching a documentary on tidal waves or the migration of great white sharks.

I was that girl in high school. Pretty, yes. But my, was she strange.

I talk a lot. And usually in circles. People have mentioned that asking me a question usually results in a longer answer than required. I'm glad that my friends have learned to accept this as quirky.

I am enjoying being outside and active far more than I ever have before.

I am low maintenance. I am not jealous. I believe that jealousy is a waste of time and kills relationships. I trust easily. I love deeply. I miss my friends. I don't have as much money as I would like, but I'm working on it. I'm recently divorced, but I'm not bitter about it. I'm an optimist and I'm a pretty down to earth person. So. That's me.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm studying for degrees that seem to elude me. I am the merchandise manager for a big name furniture company, which really involves doing a lot of shopping. I mean, I get paid to shop, which is pretty cool. There's a lot of technical analysis that goes into it, but who cares. I have two cats with fuzzy bellies that beg to be kissed. I also am hopelessly addicted to World of Warcraft.

I’m really good at

singing, dancing, hiking, skiing (okay not really good, but getting there), thinking, talking, selling, drinking, reading, writing, dreaming, expanding, transforming, sleeping, painting, decorating, shopping, collecting and spending too much time on the computer.

The first things people usually notice about me

My hair. I have a lot of it. Blonde and slightly wavy at the ends. It gets caught in drains and car doors, but people notice it.

It amuses me when people come up to me and inform me, "Hey, you have long hair." As if I never realized it until they pointed it out to me.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

a.) Dark Rivers of the Heart by Dean Koontz, The Fionavar Tapestry trilogy by Guy Gavriel Kay, Fight Club by Chuck Pahlaniuk, The Vampire Diaries by LJ Smith, Lost Souls by Poppy Z. Brite, The Lost World by Michael Crichton, and Harry Potter. hee.

b.) Firefly, Serenity, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Lord of the Rings, Nochnoi Dozor, Resident Evil, Xfiles, Fight Club, Requiem For A Dream, Donnie Darko, 12 Monkeys, Butterfly Effect, Dawn of the Dead, Final Destination 2, Evil Dead, Hellraiser, The Salton Seas, Pitch Black, Chronicles of Riddick

c.) Tool, Skinny Puppy, kidneythieves, wumpscut, NiN, mogwai, the cure, switchblade symphony, sarah mclachlan, tori amos, k's choice, frank sinatra, paul anka

d.) sushi, bloody steak, lobster, steamer clams, ben and jerry's mint chocolate cookie, ritz sour cream and onion chips, lobster ravioli with vodka sauce and sundried tomatoes.

The six things I could never do without

coffee. bourbon. a notebook. A pen. conversation. music.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

2012. Writer's block. The future. Random things.

On a typical Friday night I am

Out at dinner, either sushi or steak, and going to see a movie either before or afterwards.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'll admit to anything, but there's far to much to say in one little paragraph.

You should message me if

Anyone can message me. That's why I did this. I'm looking to find more intelligent people to talk to.
