I am sociable, inquisitive, and ambitious.

My Self-Summary

My name is Tom Anderson. I attended University of California, Berkeley from 1994 to 1998, and graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and English. From 1999 to 2000, I attended University of California, Los Angeles and graduated with a master's degree in film - critical studies.

In 2003, a few computer programmers and I set up the first pages of MySpace, and the site grew from there. It is currently the most popular social networking website on the Internet, consistently performing in United States web traffic rankings.

I work at MySpace. Send me a message if you're confused by anything on that site. Also, feel free to tell me what features you want to see on MySpace and if I think it's cool, we'll do it!

What I’m doing with my life

I am the President of the website MySpace. I founded the site along with CEO and friend Chris DeWolfe.

I'm thinking about settling down and getting married, having kids, getting a nice house in the suburbs with a picket fence and a dog. Ok-- maybe not that American Dream-like but you get the idea. :-)

I’m really good at

Computer programming, English, making conversation, academics. I'm also very athletic and love to do things like hike or play the occasional game of soccer(or football) if that's your association.

The first things people usually notice about me

My face is famous. I am the first friend people have after joining MySpace. They notice I have a smug look about me and it has been the brunt of many parodies. But it's cool.

The six things I could never do without

My computer, MySpace, my family, html-- java-- css, and entertainment

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Politics, women, how to make MySpace better, the environment, making music and film. I tend to over-analyze situations too much and have always been fascinated by psychology.

On a typical Friday night I am

Staying at MySpace working late into the night. Seldom times will I be free and when I am I tend to still be doing business associated things. Once in awhile I'll have a nice dinner or something though.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm still in love with my High School sweetheart.

You should message me if

You are interested in Internet, Movies, Reading, Karaoke, Language, Culture, History of Communism, Philosophy, Singing/Writing Music, Running, Finding New Food, Hiking, Travel, and enjoy MySpace. Realize that I am very busy and don't get to check personal e-mail that often on sites such as this.
