I am snips, snails, and unicorn tails.

My Self-Summary

I grew up in the Fort Wayne, and I hate it here. I plan to move back to Oregon or California as soon as possible. Or maybe Mexico. Or Japan. Or...

I'm looking for friends while I'm here. Not really looking to date, at least not seriously.

What I’m doing with my life

Figuring out my next move.

I’m really good at

Pretty much everything I put my mind to. Too bad my attention span's so damn short.

The first things people usually notice about me

I've been told that I always look like I just woke up and realized where I am. This is often not far from the truth.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I grew up reading Heinlein and Asimov, but my imagination has moved on. I like stories that make the world seem wonderful and mysterious like it did when I was young. My current favorite is Wind, Sand, and Stars by Antoine de Saint Exupéry. Particularly chapter 6.

I don't watch many films. I still think the original Star Wars trilogy are the best films ever made. Terminator II is another long-time favorite. I liked the new Star Trek, mostly because the casting was so amazing. Other films I like, it seems most people either hate, or admit they simply don't get. Films like Children of Men and The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human...

I'm bored with most of my music. Recent discoveries that are still tolerable include Rocky Votolato and Blitzen Trapper. I often return to the timeless solace of guitar instrumentals and Iron & Wine. I also play guitar a little, but I suck. I learn about four bars of a song, then get bored with it and start learning a different song. Simultaneously, I'm learning to transcribe music and engrave it using LilyPond. I quit playing WoW again recently, so perhaps I'll practice more.

I'm an unrepentant carnivore. If there's one food I could eat every day forever, it's sushi. Other favorite cuisines include Thai, Korean, and Indian. But I'm usually too lazy too prepare real food if it's only for myself, so I mostly subsist on ramen, frozen pizza, and cheeseburgers.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Friends in far-away places.

How to achieve my dreams without compromising my ethics.

What I'd regret not having done if I were to die tomorrow.

On a typical Friday night I am

Repeatedly mashing the Stumble button.

You should message me if

You miss human contact, you want to drink coffee and play Arimaa, or you're just as bored as I am in this shithole town.
