Go Back to the Start

You scored 100% persistence, 100% abstraction, 100% confidence and 100% structure!

Our Advice: Remember how you felt before you began? Think about that feeling now, visualise it and channel it into your project.

Explanation:

This test measures four variables - and the advice you are given is tailored to your score. It does this by measuring whether you have a statistically high score in specific categories. There are no right or wrong answers - each variable measured is a continuum. If you take the test again with a different project in mind, you should get a different result.

The variables themselves are psychologically recognised components of creativity:

Persistence: Your ability to stick at a task. Too low and you may be giving in too early, too high and you could be stuck in a rut.

Abstraction: This governs how you develop an idea from your inspiration. A low score shows a literal interpretation while a high score shows a high deviation away from your subject matter. You might also interpret this as being "too close" or "too far".

Confidence: Any creator needs confidence in themselves to carry a project through. Just as too little confidence will prevent you from moving forward, too much can cause you to bite off more than you can chew.

Structure: Even the most abstract endeavour needs some kind of structure, whether it's in your planning, execution or within the project itself. Projects with a lack of structure lack direction. Too much could see you becoming hung up on unimportant details.
