Their result for The 3-Axis Political Test ...
I have decided to take a leaf off the Political Compass and not put categories in my test, let people figure out by themselves where they stand with my help. However, I will provide a general guideline to what the scores generally represent.
On the social axis, a low score represents social conservatism. It represents an affinity to conservative values such as nationalism and cultural conservatism. A high score represents a rejection of such values for more progressive ones such as cultural liberalism, multiculturalism and internationalism.
On the economic axis, a low score represents a desire for tighter control of industry, and perhaps abolition of private capital ownership in favour of worker ownership or government ownership of the means of production. A high score demonstrates a desire to let market forces sort economic problems out by themselves, with little or no help from the government.
The political axis is the one that probably not a lot of you have seen before. It measures to what extent you favour the government being carried out by bureaucratic State institutions, and to what extent you want it carried out by the people, either in the form of collective local governance (Direct democracy, citizen's assemblies, workers councils...) or by individuals via the marketplace and charities with no government involvement. A minarchist would want the State government reduced to only its most basic functions, while an anarchist would want no state governance whatsoever, its functions completely taken over by the aforementioned institutions.
Libertarianism isn't an ideology of conservatism or progressivism. It isn't based on an idealized version of the past or a more modern outlook. Both can fit quite comfortably within libertarian philosophy. Libertarianism is nothing more or less than a philosophy of state non-intervention.
