Jai Alai

Like curvy sticks?  Like to avoid balls being hurled at you at the speed of sound?  I thought so - jai alai is your game.  While you enjoy playing alone, you still rely somewhat on other people.  Whether it’s playing in smaller groups than a full team, or having a base of trainers and helpers to assist you, you like to know someone’s got your back.  You may be wondering how this applies to you, who is clearly being told you should play a team sport.  Jai alai, much like dodgeball, encompasses a certain element of danger.  It takes the closed confines of racquetball and replaces the soft blue balls with cannonballs, or so they feel like.  Because of that, much of your time is spent just looking after yourself, despite having a team with you.  This works in nicely with your middle-ground view on teamship.

It is specifically good that you are in fantastic shape, as you need to be to play this sport.  Your health and fitness are two of the more commendable things about you.  You have worked hard to keep your good muscle tone, your admirable endurance, and your overall strength.  While this is, in itself, quite a feat, your physique and stamina will help you as you run down the unusually long corridor of jai alai, and your agility will help you avoid certain death.

Finally, it goes without saying that you like to win; sure, everyone does.  However, it is not your primary motivating factor.  You enjoy a good hearty competition like anyone, but you also won’t immediately quit if you find there are no stakes involved.  A good friendly competition is just as good for you as an Olympics trial competition.  This is helpful here because jai alai, perhaps for the reason of the daunting peril, has not really caught on.  While winning a game has a certain respectability (and assurance of your own safety), becoming the best in the world at jai alai makes you, essentially, the tallest midget.  This is perfect, as you aren't overcome by the absolute need to win.
