Humbert Humbert

You are...

Cunning, brilliant, decietful, narcissistic and perverse, Humbert Humbert hails from Nabokov's Masterpiece: Lolita. He is, in fact, the narrator. He lost his first love at a very early age, which created in him the prediliction to young girls the same age as his lost love. After a few sanatoriums and a failed marriage, he journeyed to the United States where he met Lolita. He married her mother to be near her, and when her mother was killed in a tragic accident, he had Lolita all to himself. His indulgence filled him with remorse, later on. After he found Lolita again (married, baby on the way), he sought out and murdered her lover, Clare Quilty. At the end of the book, while listening to the sound of children playing, he said, "And the most poignant thing was not Lolita's absence from my side, but the absence of her voice from the chorus."
