Their result for The Soldier Test ...

You scored 78 Grunt, 69 Cadet, 4 Butcher, and 8 Civilian!

You'll notice that the results are broken down into four categories: Civilian, Butcher, Grunt and Cadet. Basically, the various percentages will point to what your approach to soldiering you would most likely follow if you volunteered or were forced to become a soldier someday.

If you score higher than 60 percent in any category, then that would be your dominant outlook on life if you were to become a soldier. Obviously, if it's civilian you probably ought not be a soldier. Your life will be a living hell and you'll probably get others killed due to your inability to adjust to the lifestyle and ethics necessary for the position.

If your dominant outlook is butcher you would have a hard time in training and bivouac situations, but a lifesaver in the field - that is if you don't commit some atrocity due to your bloodlust. You probably ought to look into the Marine Corps as they would probably do a better job getting you focused and disciplined enough to be an asset, rather than a liability.

If your dominant outlook is grunt you would do well as a soldier. You would be idealistic enough to do the job right and would understand that being a soldier is (overall) just a job with a somewhat restrictive accompanying lifestyle. A good balance to maintain your sanity and individuality, but most people would probably wonder why you became a soldier rather than a policeman, fireman, or paramedic.

Finally, if your dominant outlook is cadet you'd make a better boyscout than a soldier. You're too "by the book" and patriotic to a fault. It's likely that you would be killed fairly quickly in combat either due to a misguided "follow me!" mindset or disregarding any possibilites that deviate from the training manuals and field manuals issued to you in the course of your military career.

Overall, remember that this test is fairly speculative - much of it is based on personal experience and extrapolation on the author's part. I offer a belated apology for any spelling or grammatical errors - this is a work in progress.

ALL GAVE SOME... SOME GAVE ALL.
