Tom and Natalie

No Regrets with Zywiec

I asked Natalie out on a blind date in September 2008, and for some reason she didn't just click "delete." I say blind.... She could see my profile, and she 'researched' (stalked) me on Facebook in advance of our meeting.

Both still reeling from long, destructive relationships, we approached the dating game with trepidation. After a few casual weeks getting to know each other, I said that I liked her, but I still wasn't sure if I was particularly keen long-term. A week later, the pressure removed, I asked her if she wanted to come to my parents' for Christmas.

We went on a Travelodge tour of Scotland for a week after Christmas and realised we were falling totally in love. Then after spending the next 9 months in disbelief that I had met someone so amazing that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her, we went for a meal, and after she said something relatively innocuous that really made me smile, I just randomly decided to propose. (I thank Zywiec for all my excellent decisions.)

A month later (after another night on Zywiec), we decided to get married sooner rather than later.

We went to La Palma for a week in Christmas 2009 and had the best holiday ever, getting stuffed on half board and praying that the storms would pass, before going for a sunny 8-hour hike up to the Caldera on the last day.

On 24th July 2010, we'll be married, less than two years after meeting on OkC!
