Melissa and Sean
Still By My Side
When I saw his profile come up as a new user, I knew that I had to check it out. The picture that he had displayed on his profile really caught my attention. He was sooo cute. So I went and check out his profile and saw that we had a few things in common that would at least get us talking. I emailed him a short email and we began talking.
After a couple of weeks sending emails and chatting on IM, we exchanged phone numbers. We would call each other and stay up all hours of the night talking about anything and everything. There were even days when I wouldn't go to bed and just talk to Sean until I had to go to work the next morning. And then do it all over again.
Finally, after talking for 4 months, we made arrangements to meet. We went to Villiage Inn and sat in the parking lot for hours just talking and watching the snow fall in the dark. Finally, we made it into the resturant and had soup and coffee. It doesn't sound like much but it felt like so much more. We sat inside talking and laughing and then finally decided to leave. We went back out to the car and there we sat once agian talking. That night, there was a bad snow storm rolling in and I couldnt make it back home from Denver. He was scared to let me drive the 40 miles or so home alone and offered to come home with me just in case. When we got home, we talked all night and he went with me in the morning to pick up my kids. That night was a wonderful start to our relationship.
Two weeks later, I found out I was pregnant by my ex and my ex didn't want me to have the baby. I had to tell Sean and to my surprise he took it amazingly well. He not only understood, but he stayed by my side through the entire pregnancy and adopted the baby as his own. In July, the baby will be one.
On January 19th, my birthday, Sean proposed with a gorgeous silver ring that he had handmade, which still brings tears. We're getting married on October 31st, 2010, and I can't wait. I am so happy that we met. I couldn't ask for a better guy and I couldn't be more thankful for having him in my life.
