The Advanced Materials Science Test

  • When ever someone asks me what I do for a living, their next question is "What's materials science?" Well, it's the science of "what to make things out of, and why," an interdisciplinary field that sets or extends the limits of all other fields of engineering, and is the experimental source of many phenomena that physics can only explain after the fact. It requires an understanding of materials' properties, structure, processing, and performance, and how these four subjects affect one another. Based on what you seem to know, I've suggested some literature that might suit your interests. Enjoy!
