Hi! And welcome to my Compliance with Authority Test. When Stanley Milgram conducted his infamous obedience experiments, intending to explain how it was that a civilized population like the Germans could ever commit the barbarous acts of the Nazis, he not only violated numerous ethical restrictions now in force on reputable human experimentation, but he confounded various types of authority. This test should help to guide you in assessing your own compliance with authority.
This test is biased towards United States authority. I would expect a correlation between validity and test takers' governments acquiescence to United States authority. That means it will likely be most valid for United States residents or, given the tendency of British prime ministers to value a "special relationship" with the United States, British residents, and to a lesser extent, residents of other NATO countries. Validity will be limited for residents of countries whose governments are at odds with the United States.
