What started with a breakdown of relations in 1945 led to one of the greatest ongoing struggles of ideology that ensnared dozens of nations and caused the biggest arms race of our time. Less than two decades ago a nuclear winter was just waiting to happen. The United States won in this dimension, but the question remains - could you have won the Cold War for the USSR?
Your aims are to spread communist government and alliances across the globe, yet maintain a stable economy and military partity with your capitalist opposers. You have until 1991 to prove that Communism and the equality of man can prevail.
Each question judges on three variables. Internal, External and Nuclear. Internal refers to economics, political stability, citizen happiness and so forth. External refers to diplomatic successes, your ability to spread communist governance and you ability to win the cold war. Nuclear is a check value - if you make too many bold moves, no matter how brilliant or daring, you will inadvertantly cause a Defcon 1 and blow the world to pieces.
Tread carefully, the Cold War is one like no other.
