    This test is based on the Burns Depression Checklist as found in Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy (revised ed.) by David D. Burns, M.D. It should give you a good idea of how depressed you are and whether you should seek further help for it.

    If you are already getting help (or self-help) for your depression, you may find it useful to come back periodically and re-take this test, keeping track of your score and charting your progress.
