Freethought is a philosophical viewpoint that holds that beliefs should be formed on the basis of science and logic and should not be influenced by emotion, authority, tradition, or any dogma. The cognitive application of freethought is known as freethinking, and practitioners of freethought are known as freethinkers.
This test helps identify the degree to which people are freethinkers. How truly independent are you in thought? How important is the application of reason in your life? Let's find out!
Famous freethinkers include: Robert G. Ingersoll, James Randi, Bill Gates, Lance Armstrong, Ernest Hemmingway, Aldous Huxley, Issac Assimov, Ayn Rand, Dave Matthews, Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, etc.
NOTE: I keep getting complaints from people who seem to not understand what this test is about, and do not understand what a "freethinker" is. A freethinker is a very specific term (not to be confused with "free thinker" which is ambiguous). If you think this test is biased, you should spend some time looking up what a Freethinker is so you understand the nature of this test. See: www.randi.org, www.ffrf.org, and the Wikipedia definition of Freethought.
