How many ya got? Well how many? Ya chicken to add em all up, or ya can't count that high?

I'm at 63 pairs at the moment, but it's time to pitch some.

I'm too poor to have an extensive shoe collection. I envy your 63 pair count, Sandy! I think I hover at around 14 pairs? But I haven't officially counted recently.

^^^Pfffft, BIG TALKER.

@Silly, I only buy my shoes at super good prices. Couple days ago I got a really hot pair of Nine West boots @75% off for only $30 and some super cute Kenneth Cole rose colored sandals @75% off for only $20. I love bargains.

I should be a personal shopper for people like you that don't have the time to find the great buys. ;)

My last spreadsheet has me in the 80s, but I've definitely tossed/sold a few and bought a few more since.

I love a good sale too!

Jan 14, 2013 12:47pm

@Sandy: Me too. I bought a pair of boots at Macy's Saturday for $20 they were originally $79. I love shoe sales. I'm just not able to spare shoe money as often as I'd like.

@Shoe: You have a spreadsheet? Are you shoes stacked in numbered boxes in your closet?

Jan 14, 2013 12:53pm

When my house was being re-modeled, I had a near shoetastrophe - someone put a nail into a pipe and their was water pouring down in a cascade right next to all my shoes. Amazingly, nothing got ruined.  But after that I started keeping track of stuff for insurance purposes.  Just in case.

And no numbered boxes. They're separated into open and closed toe shoes (and boots) and then arranged in rainbow order, as are all my clothes.

Jan 14, 2013 12:54pm

Shoegal just messaged me that she's 'busy' right now and will give me an accurate count later, but I think she's bluffing.

Ohhhh, now clothes is yet ANOTHER topic. I have my 'winter clothes' (I know that's an oxymoron in FL) in my spare bedroom while all my different summer clothes are in my master bedroom.

Jan 14, 2013 12:57pm

I used to have a reasonable number of shoes (although not as extensive a collection as Sandy or Shoes!), but I got rid of almost all of them when I moved, so now I think I have four, five if you count slippers.

Jan 14, 2013 1:02pm

@Sushi, you're kidding! How can that be, especially where you live?!

Jan 14, 2013 2:34pm

Is Canada famous for shoes?

I basically got rid of almost every I owned when I moved out here; I came out with three suitcases, and shipped two big boxes of stuff, and that was it. But to be fair, I had got out of the habit of wearing heels; the place I lived before was mostly either cobbled or really steep, or both, so I mostly wore flats there, and it turns out it's not at all like riding a bike; when I tried wearing heels again, I'd totally lost the knack of walking in them. At the moment it's too cold for anything other than sensible warm boots, but maybe once winter is over I'll try heels again...

Jan 14, 2013 4:21pm

^understand, and almost the same, but mine are in bins under the bed and in closets, I can't wear heels either now...should,sell,give away all my heels, for sure 3" NEVER again...last time I tried to wear a pair for 2 hour event....was in pain for 4 days.

ok, 120 pairs of shoes, 10 pairs of boots

but only wear 5 of these now

Jan 14, 2013 4:31pm

I am currently looking at these.  I don't know if I can justify the expense.  Mens shoes are so different.  I am trying to get something with more flair that the usual blacks, tired,

I really like these though.

Take notes fellas.  Footwear. Tell your friends.

And no numbered boxes. They're separated into open and closed toe shoes (and boots) and then arranged in rainbow order, as are all my clothes.

Is this true? Because it might have destroyed any attraction I have for you, Shoegal.

Jan 14, 2013 5:14pm

What, you don't find my need to order and alphabetize to be attractive?

Jan 14, 2013 5:19pm

Wait, they're color coordinated AND alphabetized?

Jan 14, 2013 5:25pm

No, no. Though I do know some people who organize their closets based on the alphabetization of colors, mine are just separated into dresses, skirts, pants, shirts and then put in rainbow order.  I alphabetize my bookshelves, CDs, and spices.
