My theory is this airplane was hijacked. The hijackers disabled the radio and any other devices that would help find the missing airplane.

After 9/11 the engineers at Boeing invented a device that would stop the terrorists from flying an airplane to a target and deliberatley crashing in to it. When an airplane is hijacked the rudder can be turned by radio control, this sets the aircraft on a circular course and does not allow the pilot to change direction, thus the airplane will not go where the terrorists want it to go, it goes somewhere else.

This may not help the passengers, but it could save many lives at the place the terrorists wanted to attack.

They decided to keep this device a secret. The 777 flew around and it ran out of fuel somewhere over the ocean, then it crashed and sunk.

Malaysian airlines, Boeing, or anyone else who knows the secret is not talking. If they did, Ambulance chasing lawyers would sue the airline and Boeing and try to convince a jury that they are responsible for the deaths of all those passengers.

If you have a better idea, we would like to hear it.

Elaborate hoax that will end up being a promo for the re-launch of LOST.

Mark my words.

A New Zealander said he saw a plane on fire near his oil rig near the coast of Vietnam.  He said the plane was on fire and then the fire was gone.  He could not say whether the plane was moving towards him or away from him.  If this is true, it is possible there was a fire on the plane, the plane then did a U turn back to Malaysia and it crashed somewhere on either side of the Malaysian peninsula.  As to Chaeddd's theory the engines were running for five hours after they lost contact and it is possible the plane went in a circle for those five hours before falling into the ocean.  I am still skeptical because the black box would record the plane going in circles and an explanation would be required.

The plane going in circles for five years in the middle of the South China sea would be consistent with a lack of radar detection and the engines working for five hours after lost contact.

This story is of particular interest to me because I recently took a flight from SF to Singapore and then a cruise ship from Singapore to Bangkok/Vietnam where this plane would have been.  I have had to update travel protocols with the girlfriend since she likes to fly around southeast Asia all the time.

I think they went through a "rip" and that the plane left present time and is now lost in time and staying one step ahead of the universal timekeepers that are in place in order to eat up the past to keep time travelers from changing past events.

or maybe I saw that in a movie......

Assuming your girlfriend is a fully functioning adult - I think she can make decisions on when, how and where to fly without you making "protocols" for her....

The black box would tell us what happened, but it is on the bottom of the ocean now.

If the engineers who invented the black box knew what they were doing, they would make it so the box would separate itself from the airplane and float to the surface, then it would transmit a radio signal to help people find it. The black box is actually orange. If they were smart enough to do what I have suggested, they would have thought up a better name for it than "black box". They must be retarded or something.

It is very difficult to find something that has sunk in the deeper part of the ocean. Think of how long it took them to find the titanic.

Maybe they saw mammy5 and it was enough to make it disappear from existence.

She isn't by definition — she's dating Steve.

I think the pilot had been planning to drop this airplane into the sea for quite a while, and probably played his little flight simulator to practice the maneuvers, and then I think he deleted those files

I think they landed and the passenger sold off as slaves (sex or otherwise) and/or shipped off to organ farms. Plenty of money to be had in human trafficking.

Im bored and need to date a mostly functioning 18 yo.

In all honesty, I think that there was an explosion that ripped a hole in the fuselage causing the plain to rapidly depressurize and it knocked out the transponder and communication system. It didn't knock out electrical power or the plane wouldn't have continued flying(the engines require electricity to power the spark plugs which ignite the fuel). But it could have destroyed the avionics necessary to deploy the oxygen masks, and hence the passengers and crew died of asphyxiation.

As to what caused this explosion, it very well could have been a terrorist bomb placed in stowed luggage.
