I was just wondering how I can view those I added as favorites but haven't rated or emailed. I can't find them anywhere unless I do a search. Thanks

Click on "toggle offline" on the left side of the page under Favorites. It should show them.

new user--I cannot find on any page 'Favorites' or 'toggle offline'; have gone through homescreen, profile, mailbox, matches, journal/favorites--nada! (and I have added a couple favorites)

ditto PHLScorp's comment - I don't see a toggle offline anywhere

The aforementioned 'toggle' suddenly appeared after I made this comment, so maybe they have some period of time just when you sign up after which it eventually appears to new members, or maybe after a % of profile completed; the problem is, newbies are adding favorites and then can't find them!

I can't figure out how to make someone a Favorite. Help.

click on the SAVE button when viewing someone's profile (it is confusing for newbie's when they don't use consistent wording)

Are "Favorites" the same thing as "Friends"???

The purpose of saving someone in your Favorites is to be notified when they come online or to be able to quickly re-find their profile without searching for it. Additionally, you may choose to let them know when you've added them as a way to express your interest in them! They're probably your "friends", but they don't have to be (yet!)

i can't find the favorites list. trying a comment now to see if it appears. or i'll just have to wait...

the fact that users aren't able to see everything right away at first is very mysterious. me likey.

I can't imagine why they think it's a good thing to keep features inaccessible for new users without telling them so, it just winds up being frustrating. The fact that the messages take a million years to load is also not good.

ditto for me and no favorites list. Maybe it will appear now after i type this.

Jan 13, 2009 6:08pm

Is there a way to remove someone from your favorites without having to actually click the profile?

Jan 13, 2009 8:45pm

still dont have access to a favorites list. Can someone explain what has to be done to get to it? There is no favorites or "toggle offline" to the left of the screen. Seems like a common problem.

Jan 14, 2009 3:22am

newbies have to be patient to find their Favorites list! They like to hide it for some reason at the beginning. To remove a favorite without clicking on their profile, you have to wait until they're online and then they'll show in your favorites area with a little X to remove them quietly.

Or just highlight their name then go to the section called "Dead To Me" highlight their name copy and paste. Good Morning PHLScorp!

So, I guess I am confused as well. #1. A. How do I add anyone to my favs? B. Is that the same as "Saving"? C. Where do I quickly view or find them? -and- #2. I notice that pop up notifications appear stating that a user has ranked me. How do I find what I'm ranked? or do I? AND is it possible to tell how rank me as what? Maybe since I am new I can't find everything yet. but som ehints would help. Thank you all! ~billy

Hi Billy, Yes if you use the save button it saves them as a favorite. The favorites section is located on the left side of the screen under the reciently viewed people area. The favorites list just means you can see when they are on OKC or not. No you can't find out how someone has ranked you unless they rank you as a 4 or 5 then you will get an email from OKC. The email will only tell that someone has ranked you and they will have you go thru the Quickmatchs and the one that ranked you a 4 or 5 will be in the first several quickmatches that they put up. If you also rank them 4 or 5 you will find out who it was. As I understand newbies can't necessarily see all the features. Answer questions and do some tests and you will get to all the features. Enjoy! Belinda

Thank You Belinda, I found out how the quickmatch ranking worked by experience. It happened twice last night and I followed thru with it. I also only need to contact a few more strangers to have completed my profile. I really appreciate your help and it also helped me complete my profile. I also see the "Recently Viewed" on the left you spoke of. They should call it "Favorites" or something like "Saved Members". They should also be there whether or not they are online or not, with a little "Online NOW" banner like on the regular profile. Seems to be a lot of in-consistancies when it comes to navagation and titles of areas. [FAVS is Saved is Recently Viewed that are ONline now] Thats is crazy bad and confusing. I have answered over 350 questions but will not stop until OKC shows me as five stars on the "How well they know me". I do appreciate your time in helping me make sense of it all. But you should not of had to in he first place if the site engineers had thought it out a little better. Typical "GEEKS" couldn't get thru a door with out instructions. hehehe!!! Thanks again. ~billy
