My self-summary
I'm an easy going girl looking for someone to share my life with.

Recently also came to a realisation that a partner is essential if one wants a fighting chance in controlling the ever fast growing house chores. As they say "housework shared is housework halved". Or something like that.
What I’m doing with my life
Working in a job that I'm somewhat content with. Hoping to make more travelling a priority. Self reflection and improvement. Health and fitness. Having fun in the meantime.
I’m really good at
Hunting down rare or unusually large plants totally unsuitable for a balcony garden. Now I also own a philodendron that could easily take over the apartment other than the fact that winter is keeping it somewhat subdued.
The first things people usually notice about me
Apparently I look younger than my age. I'll take that as a compliment any day.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Lord of the Rings, Vanity Fair, a Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry, Brave New World, the Dale series by Gervase Phinn, Love in Time of Cholera, Tracks by Robyn Davidson and a few more unread books in my house. Fiction mainly. I'm quite eclectic (everyone says that but are they really?!)

I used to read a lot but unfortunately with the advent of social media via increasingly sophisticated technology I have found myself quite easily distracted.

Recently discovered Joni Mitchell. "A Case of You" oh so divine ... the poetry, the nuances in her voice, the longing, the imperfections and I could go on and on but think perhaps best stop there. Jònsi, in particular 'Sinking Friendships'

Charles Blackman makes beautiful art.

One of the most entertaining movies I've enjoyed is "The Castle" - never fails to bring a smile to my face - the vibe is where it's at.

On the other hand, Cab Calloway's performance of Minnie the Moocher in the Blues Brothers is a must see. Well at least I think so.
The six things I could never do without
Books
Self introspection
A rewarding job that pays the bills and the lifestyle
Cup of tea while snuggling on the couch with the sound of rain hitting the roof
My record player
And hopefully that special someone who is just right.
On a typical Friday night I am
Currently poring over magazines and kitchen design websites for inspiration in replacing my kitchen benchtop. The expression 'God is in the design, devil is in the details' has never rung truer.

Update: kitchen is now done, back to regularly scheduled activities of: Friday night catch ups, gigs, footy, or returning home from the work week ready to kick back and relax.
You should message me if
you like what you see and have read and not just looking for casual fun. We can go from there.
