My self-summary
I'm 26, live in Dundee on my own with a cat who's kind of an arsehole. Currently a student studying photography, which makes it all the stranger that I can't take a good photo of myself.

I prefer hanging out with friends or at quiet old man pubs and getting some good chat going rather than going out and getting totally wasted. This is probably an extension of my nerdy side. Chances are if it's considered geeky I've at least heard of it. I'm also INCREDIBLY easy going and laid back. Nothing really stresses me out. I live in a little bubble of pop culture ignorance for the most part, which I don't consider a bad thing. I'm oddly proud of the fact that I couldn't name a single song by Cheryl Cole. If she's a singer. I think she is. Or is she just married to someone famous? It's hard to tell these days.

Ehm, I'm planning on getting tattoos done as soon as I can afford to. So if you don't like them, well, I dunno what to say. Well done?

When I'm not hanging out with friends and having hilarious manly-man shenanigans such as bear punching and beard growing, I like to bake delicious cakes (usually on Wednesdays) and drink lots of tea. I'm quite girly at times and tend to be facinated with certain fashions and make up. I have a VERY dry sense of humour, so much so that some people have a hard time knowing when I'm joking or not, it's also very self-depricating, as evidenced by certain things I say wat in this here writey-box. I have a somewhat taoist approach to life, what happens will happen, so I go with the flow of the universe.

I should point out that I'm a very open person and will answer any question I'm asked, but still tend to hide a lot of myself. It's difficult to explain. I guess you could say I have hidden depths, but that sounds very cheesy and not at all how I would describe it. You'll just have to talk to me to find out I suppose.

(Apparently, I also spend a lot of time adding and subtracting from this and fixing spelling errors. What has become of my life?)
What I’m doing with my life
Like I said, I'm a student studying photography. I don't really
consider myself good enough to spell it with a capital P yet. I
only recently decided what I want to do with my life, so it's a
secret. At least, until you ask what it is. ._. When I'm not at
college or thwarting communism, I'm at work. So I'm not a total
bum. I'm a minor bum. A bumette?
I’m really good at
Making people laugh. Talking crap for long periods of time. Funny crap, but still crap. I can befriend pretty much anyone given the chance, however I rarely am. Perhaps I look intimidating, or maybe like a hobo. Or both!
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes maybe? I think my eyes. Used to be my hair until I cut it into a more normal style than in my profile picture. So now I don't know. Thinking of bringing it back, so it might be my hair again soon. But I'm going to go with eyes, as it seems like a fairly safe answer.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favourite books are the Adrian Mole books and the stories of H.P Lovecraft. Generally, I read whatever takes my fancy. My favourite book ever is Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaimen. It's probably the most hilarious thing put down on paper. I also like World War Z by Max Brooks and Hokkaido Highway Blues by Will Ferguson. Being a photographer (lower case), I tend to read photography books more than normal books.

As for TV; Arrested Development, Spaced, Black Books, Green Wing, The IT Crowd, Brass Eye, The Day Today, Alan Partridge. Digging Gary: Tank Commander and Episodes right now. Generally, I don't watch TV at all. If I like a series I'll either (whisper it now) download it or watch it on a TV on demand service, even then, there's not much I watch these days. Dexter, when it's on. I love stand up comedy, my favourites being Eddie Izzard, Ross Noble, Dylan Moran, Tim Minchin, Bill Bailey and Kevin Bridges.

I like the films of Luc Besson, so The Fifth Element, Angel-A, Leon. I'll watch any film really. I actually have a massive back-log of films I need to watch but haven't gotten round to yet. No one to watch them with (hint hint). Yeeeeeeah, I'm smooth. I like horror films, but prefer watching them with people because they're more fun that way. More psychological horror than slasher gore-fests though.

I make a lot of strange and obscure references. So far I've only met one person who gets most of them, and Dave is awesome but not really my type. So being able to recognize obscure reference, such as where "Oh my god. I have some fucking Jaffa Cakes in my coat pocket!" is from is a plus. I would also accept being able to tell me what you get when you cross an owl with a bungee cord.

Musically, I'm one of those awful "I like everything" types. Though lately I've been listening to a lot of mixed stuff. Favourite artists are Imogen Heap, Athelete, Radical Face,Electric President, Lemon Jelly, The Prodigy, Rage Against, Austrian Death Machine, Broken Social Scene, Eels and Modest Mouse all mixed in together with some other random bits and bobs to create an eclectic taste in music. I tend to avoid chart music because my life seems to be satuarated by it. I also listen selectivly to japanese music, generally keeping to Miyavi (who's my idol and sometimes man-crush), Hora, Yousei Teikoku, Hide and Jun Onose for the most part. Oh, and the Tenchu 1 sountrack. WHY IS IT SO GOOD!?

I just realised all of this can be summed up in "I like lots of things." But that would be boring, so I decided to waste your time by making you read all that. Yes, I am a bad person.

As for food...well, if it's tasty, I'll put it in my mouth.
Six things I could never do without
mp3 player, my cameras, my cat...ehmm...bed? I suppose. Thats it really. Oh, and tea. Can't be doing without tea. Need a sixth. Hmm...let me think about it. Oh! I've got one! Hob Nobs.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Wondering when the stars will finally be right. I'a Cthulhu fhtagn and all that lark.
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying to get my friends to do something with varying degrees of success (my social life is strangly dependent on other peoples girlfriends) or accidentally falling asleep.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When no one is around, I wear steampunk goggles and laugh maniacally.

Hats off to you if you read this far. You are a better person for it, and your perseverence shall be rewarded. Also, scribble a note if you want someone easy to talk to, have a laugh, drink some tea, bake some cakes, kick ass and chew bubble gum. And I'm all out of ass.
