My self-summary
Me(!): I'm a hip-hop artist (rapper/producer) and singer. No, not one of THOSE guys, I'm pretty darn alright at it and absolutely love what I do. I make my money (bla) as a sign painter and commercial artist (One of the lucky ones with a 40 hour work week and insurance). I generally love life and always appreciate it, the good and the bad, the lighter and darker stuff. Pretty smart, offbeat-edly humorous, unashamedly nerdy. A people person who enjoys some solitude in the mix. Stereotypical cancer and disappointed idealist. ENFP. There's no such thing as "normal" and we should all explore, discover, and be who we are following our own hearts and minds. Also "cool" is what you make it.

I get pretty fired up when people are assholes. Exploitation infuriates me. Hard into practical philosophy. I have two daughters from a young marriage who I'm super committed to, they are my little family. I'm a vegetarian gym-going runner who also sits back and eats brownies with the best of them. I'm intense and passionate. I'm an avid reader and frequent writer. I love nature in a major way. I swear a lot, often creatively. I save spiders. I'm very Socially aware and am a staunch believer in the establishment of basic human rights, Star Trek here we come. I love and respect myself (have worked hard for it) but am far from egomania. I'm a fan of thrift shopping for fly outfits. Love progressive science. Interior design and design of all sorts. Walking is cathartic. Few tats and a piercing. I've gone to the odd sweat lodge ceremony and meditation circle. I've been called "the most random person ever" and "Talky the wordy wordsmith" but I've learned the value of listening.

I used to skate but was never very good at it. I can juggle and do some cool yo-yo tricks. I overuse the words "dude", "awesome", and "stellar". I'm technologically behind the curve and okay with that. Far from Stonerville but I do enjoy Cannabis. I like tabletop games (recent discovery). Newly obsessed with brush-markers and modern calligraphy/typography.

I'm a romantic but I'm not looking to force anything. Open to whatevs so long as we vibe.
What I’m doing with my life
Squeezing out as much raw experience as I can, helping people live better while I figure this stuff out myself. Hustling hard. Preparing for the roller coaster of adolescent daughters. Finding happiness. Learning how to chill the fuck out. Digging deep into the creation of a new full length with my producer (un-fucking-believably excited). Very focused on mindfulness and integrated living these days. One life to live, Babay.
I’m really good at
Self-reflection and improvement. Vibing with all sorts of people, listening and learning (if it's interesting to me that is), tapping drum patterns on everything at all times, fatherhood, musical composition and performance, lying down on floors of all sorts. Adventuring, storytelling, impressions. I'm a bomb-ass chef and baker. I'm very domestically inclined. Being tall and doing tall things. Doing one-handed cartwheels. Lifting stuff. Making people smile. Making people slightly uncomfortable with my honesty and transparency. Pretending I know Kung Fu. Saying absurdly offensive stuff for the sake of humor. Can karaoke my ass off. Thinking. Kissing of all sorts. Cuddling up. Snoring. I can drink water really fast.
The first things people usually notice about me
My heroic stature. My energy. My smoldering eyes. My sense of humility? My general kindness is commented on regularly.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This list is not nearly as important as my brain is telling me it is but if you dig the same stuff, awesome. Here we go:

BOOKS - Steinbeck "The Grapes of Wrath", Tom Robbins "Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates" and most of his other novels, Ray Bradbury "Something Wicked This Way Comes", The Harry Potter series, Stephen King's Dark Tower series, Andre Dubus III "Townie", Saul Williams "Said the Shotgun to the Head", Herman Hesse "Siddhartha", Kahlil Gibran "The Prophet", Jeff Chang "Can't Stop Wont Stop: A History of the Hip-Hop Generation", Dan O'Brien "The Rights of Autumn", Matt Kindt "MIND MGMT", Jonathan Tropper "How to Talk to a Widower", Peter Diamandis and Steven Kotler "Abundance: the Future is Better Than You Think", and many more. I'm an avid reader.

MOVIES: Get On Up, Shaun of the Dead, The Fugitive (Harrison Ford version), anything by Hayao Miyazaki, Finding Forrester, Warrior, How to Train Your Dragon, the Imitation Game, Blade Trinity, The Sandlot, The Shawshank Redemption, Kung Fu flicks, The Lobster, Don't Be a Menace, Wristcutters: A Love Story, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers' films, Wes Anderson flicks, Milo and Otis, documentaries of all sorts, sucker for good indie flicks, etc.

SHOWS - I don't watch much TV these days but Planet Earth, Freaks and Geeks, Arrested Development, Game of Thrones, Adventure Time, Firefly, the adventures of Pete and Pete, Sherlock, Dr. Who, Archer, the Wonder Years, Daredevil, Being Human, Mind of a Chef, Flight of the Conchords, Everwood. Breaking Bad is awesome but it bums me out. When Bob Barker was still alive I used to religiously watch the Price is Right. Again, I don't watch much TV these days, I think I used that card up in my teens.

MUSIC - I can't even do this one. Seriously there's too much. I listen to an absurd variety of music, it's not a cop-out answer. Ask me personally if you REALLY wanna know, chances are I listen to some of what you listen to. Also I despise doing the dishes and podcasts have saved me many a soapy tantrum.

FOOD - Yes. Of all sorts. Very culinary and fairly adventurous.
The six things I could never do without
Love in all it's forms.
Art and Music
My seed (that means my daughters, not my sperm, although clearly it played a role)
Spirituality (that's not some contrived new agey bullshit. Life is deep.)
Facial hair
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything. Very active mind. Life. What I and we can do to make this a much better world. What new paradigms we're heading into. Cognitive dissonance and polarities, ebb and flow, action and entropy. Freedom and serendipity. Balance. Interconnection. A lot of random observation. Silly absurdities. Insane hypothetical shit. Music. Women. Lately been thinking more about nothing. That, turns out, can be really nice too.
On a typical Friday night I am
Leading a rough and tumble rag-tag black ops unit of woodland forest creatures (mostly mammals) on sweet missions.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
For being so forthright and self-assured I'm also pretty shy and am frenemies with depression and anxiety. I tend to hold myself to oft-unattainably high standards which can be self-defeating.

I wear Old Spice Swagger because it's called Old Spice Swagger.

I've always wanted to star in a musical.
You should message me if
Ya Wanna. It also helps if you're interested in genuine relationships with people no matter the depth or dynamic. You dig me for me, I dig you for you. No drama, no games, no, really.

I'm not actively gunning for anything long-term right now although one never knows what can develop or will come one's way, history of serial monogamy, eventually I'm looking for a life partner but the who and when is *hands in the air*.

Open to seeing men (if forced to label I'd identify pansexual) but I haven't done so previously, no rush. Predominantly attracted to women. Let's get datey.
