I'm a strong individualist, one of the quiet types who like to spend a lot of time engrossed in their own thoughts. I'm neither fun, nor outgoing or full of energy. In other words: I'm plain boring.
I am a very dilligent person, quite serious about my responsibilities and always helpful. As a result I tend to neglect the emotional side of my life and leave little time for my own interests. Although at times I try a more light hearted approach in everyday life through my distinctive sarcastic humour I am nonetheless often deeply depressed. In social matters I appear rather shy or even cold and aloof as I'm more like a lone wolf - an observer of society rather than an actual participant. I'm my own singular person - I depend on nobody and I'm being depended on by nobody.
Besides that............well, I'd say I'm not especially good at barely anything, instead I'm more like a jack of all trades as my job covers a great many of fields ranging from abstract chemistry over bookkeeping to repairing the brakes on a truck.
Last read: American Slave Coast: A History of the Slave-Breeding Industry by Ned Sublette
And the book before that: Private Empire: ExxonMobil and American Power by Steve Coll
On a general scale I'm interested in all things geeky like videogames, science-fiction and anime.
In the last few years I've reduced my hobbies down to basically two things: reading and video games.
Generally I'm reading everything that revolves around alternate history, dystopia, collapse of civilization, downfall of mankind or just plain general science-fiction. And by now I've read most of the great classics of that genre.
I also read a lot of non-fiction books, mostly things about world history, politics and military history which ist often enough the same.
Nonetheless videogames stay my most time-consuming hobby.
- my computer and the 8 tb of data on the external harddrives
- my bankaccount
- a fair deal of peace and quietness around me
- good stories to think about
...oh well, that's only five things, then add something random like air or water ^^
The ultimate question of life, the universe and everything.... - the answer is 42!!
OK, OK, you want a little secret, so how about this: if I ever make enough spare money it is my dream to possess my own real-life tank. Yes, tank. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a Panzer III or IV (preferably the late versions with side skirts and spaced turret armor)
Especially message me if you feel like talking about videogames, anime, science-fiction of any kind, world politics and military history. - I can talk about these for ages. ^_^
And for the end a well-meant word of advice for you:
If you really want to get my attention - message me, because I will be in almost any case too shy or just oblivious to message you.
