My self-summary
I'll take a 5-star hotel over a tent in the woods and happy hour over hiking, but I still kayak and camp a few times each year to mix things up. I can enjoy myself anywhere as long as there's good company. I tend to like things that are think-y or puzzle-y, like board games, or story-driven, like Netflix marathons or movie nights.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm originally from the east coast, but I love Seattle: the food, the weather (even the clouds), the people – they're all great.

I was a philosophy major in college, but turned to the dark side. Now, by day, I head up marketing for an internet advertising company focused on legal and home services.

By night, I'm grabbing drinks with friends at every happy hour ever, going all-in on mediocre poker hands, belting out karaoke, playing board games, and binge-watching series on my too-comfortable couch.
I’m really good at
Bad puns:
A photon walks into an airport and is asked if it's checking any luggage. It says, "No thanks, I'm traveling light."

Making the perfect gin & tonic:
Hint: use Hendrick's or Oola.

Recommending TV shows:
Fighting the good fight against the robot revolution. Take that, Netflix recommendation algorithm!

Karaoke:
Okay, this one is a lie.
The first things people usually notice about me
It’s usually my height. Unless I’m sitting down, then it’s the antlers.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
In terms of the written word, I like A Song of Ice and Fire, Flowers for Algernon, Ender's Game, Watchmen, The Name of the Wind, and Guns, Germs, and Steel.

As for TV and movies, I’m a fan of Breaking Bad, Scrubs, The Walking Dead, Firefly, Community, Lost, Psych, The Incredibles, The Matrix, Forrest Gump, and District 9.

Some local favorites are Seven Stars Pepper Szechuan (hand-shaven Dan Dan noodles), Queen Sheba (doro wot and honey wine), and Americana (French toast).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The relative merits of super speed vs teleportation,
whether I'd travel through time if it was a one-way trip,
immortality and the miracle of compound interest,
and what to eat for dinner.
You should message me if
You make up songs about things you're doing as you're doing them,
you type in all caps when you're being silly,
or you're from the future and have a HOT STOCK TIP.
