My self-summary
I cannot dance, ski, skate, swim, perform surgery, spell, speak Klingon, watch So You Think You Can Dance, knit, tolerate anyone that does not understand the need for personal responsibility, pretend to be politically correct, suffer fools or lousy kissers, pretend Kraft Dinner is edible, listen to rap, disco or hip-hop, whistle, use taxpayer money to support the Olympics, eat cauliflower, couscous or curry, sun bathe (causes cancer) or provide investment advice. There, I've said it. Absolutely no whistling. Oh, I am tone deaf but sing often and terribly, and I play guitar in a band b/c I never grew up. On the other hand, I own my own CPA, CA, LPA firm, so I grew up a bit. I still will not provide investment advice and, if I did your taxes, you'd just get reassessed. You, on the other hand, have numerous fine qualities, especially your intellect and education, empathy, cuddling and kissing skills and wicked sense of humour.
I’m really good at
Nothing in particular; I am a spaz, brilliant, educated, great cook, witty and terrific at banter, very romantic and affectionate and a very proud father, but still a spaz. I so suck at sports due to zero hand-eye coordination (can't even shoot pool) and my handwriting is so poor that, as Billy Bragg once sang, "I am the most illegible bachelor in town."
The first things people usually notice about me
My intelligence, wit, broad knowledge base, wicked sense of humor, impatience with the lazy, the self-centered, the pompous, the far right and far left and my disdain for govermnent waste.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Criminal Minds, Law and Order (all versions), Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones (books and series), The very recently revived X-Files, everything written by I B Singer, most agnostic books on religion, anything about number theory and mathematical logic, Talmud, 20th century history, movies like Touch of Evil, Bad Timing, first 2 God Fathers, really good horror films (rats, there are so few good horror films).
Six things I could never do without
My daughter's continual achievements.
Cuddling, hugging, kissing and gooey sex.
Intellectual stimulation and challenges.
Air, air conditioning, hot showers with antibacterial Dial soap and clean towels and sheets, plus dry cleaning.
Shostakovich, Beethoven, Bartok, Steve Reich, all Steve Vai, early Dream Theatre, baseball and tickets to the TSO.
Money, work, food, air (again), Blackberry, all my clients, big cities, Criminal Minds, movies, the Montreal Expos.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Oodles of things.
On a typical Friday night I am
At 55: movies (in or out), great food, kissing and cuddling. If no opportunities for the latter two, then reading, doing cryptic crosswords et al. puzzles, or watching baseball / NFL and channel surfing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die. When I hear that whistle blowing, I hang my head and cry.
You should message me if
You are smarter than the average bear, sure of yourself, articulate, witty, well-read and well-educated. You are very comfy in your own skin and (most of the time) fearless. You are rebellious because you distrust authority. Of course, you can be silly but you are goal oriented. At day's end, you are a loving cuddle bunny.
