Some of my interests include (in no particular order): Adventure seeking (bought a truck in London with a friend and took it for a five month drive...to Nigeria); theory/philosophy (my major); monkey business (my minor); mental and physical challenges (give me a puzzle to solve or a mountain to climb and I'm on it); bike riding/rollerblading through parks and streets--day or night; the surreal and absurd (in life and art); music (Stones, Bowie, Radiohead, Steely Dan, Talking Heads, Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys, Dire Straits, Beck, Pink Floyd--over 25,000 songs in my i-tunes); long walks on the...(don't worry; I'm not going there); learning (and teaching) new words, concepts and skills; film (Cuckoo's Nest, All That Jazz, Amelie, Little Children, The Usual Suspects, Adaptation, Bullets Over Broadway, Sideways, Apocalypse Now, Godfather I and II, American Hustle, It's a Wonderful Life, Shawshank Redemption, Eternal Sunshine, Fight Club), paradoxes; current events; pop/indie culture; World/American history; science (physics, psychology, biology, anthropology); the history of art and science; roads less traveled; creative use of any environment (give me a stick, rock and water bottle, and I'll invent a game, make art or repair your engine with it...in other words, I'd be a good person to get shipwrecked with on a desert island...just promise you'll share the coconuts and not run off with the monkey); writing ("The 'God' Part of the Brain: A Scientific Interpretation of Human Spirituality" is one title); taking pictures/making digital art; playing tennis/guitar; architecture/lighting/design; mythology; sensuality/eroticism; canoeing/kayaking; sneaking into places; etymology; chess/board games; swinging from chandeliers (just checking to see if you're still with me..and I honestly don't blame you if you're not); stoop sales/flea markets/antique shops; documentaries; order; chocolate; chaos; carpentry/repairing stuff (if it's broke, I'll fix it); black licorice, ice cream, strong coffee, tequila, grass....a fairly healthy lifestyle mixed with a few indulgences.
