My self-summary
Don't let the user name put you off - it's a Happy Mondays reference rather than being indicative of hedonistic superpowers, and I was struggling a bit for ideas at the time... Besides, as far as a 24 Hour Party Person goes, my powers of recovery aren't what they were!
What I’m doing with my life
Well, I'm a Northern, geeky, indie kid at heart who is trying not to grow up. I once wanted to be a comic strip artist and, needless to say, didn't become one. I did, however, once appear (extremely briefly) as an extra in a crap disaster movie that seems to endlessly crop up on ITV4. I work in publishing (not as glam as it sounds, believe me), muck around with music on the side (playing and writing, as well as going to gigs) and write reviews.
I’m really good at
Knowing lots of useless information. I also seem to have a knack for ending up in unusual situations (most recently being in a pub with Luke Haines, a former drummer with the Jesus & Mary Chain, Julian Barratt and Julia Davies).
The first things people usually notice about me
How much useless information I know and how crap my jokes are.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music is a big part of my life, going to far too many gigs in lots of small venues around town (particular faves being the Windmill in Brixton and the Lexington in Angel). In terms of what I listen to, it's pretty broad, but I guess particular things I like include Bowie, New Order, a lot of indie stuff (I've recently developed a penchant for C86/indie pop type stuff), and I listen to the Fall far too often-uh.

Books, film and TV - well, there's probably too much to overwhelm you in a list, but I do have a thing about cult TV (Prisoner, Dr Who, Quatermass, et al). I think, basically, I wanted to be Simon Pegg's character in Spaced (although I don't possess a skateboard).
The six things I could never do without
Music
Art
Comedy
Ginster's Cornish Pasties (according to my boss)
I know that's not six, but bear with me...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Mark E Smith lyrics. Well, not all the time...
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably telling someone a crap joke in a bar...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once had Darth Vader's autograph. It was my birthday, and he could feel my presents (okay, I made that last bit up)
You should message me if
You like to laugh, like music and would like to know more!
