My self-summary
I love to read. I wish I read more than I do, but I'm not fast enough to read 100 books a year like some people. I mostly read fiction because I want to write fiction. But nonfiction, when it's about a subject that intrigues me, can also be very good.

I like nerdy things: Mario, Lord of the Rings, some anime, supernatural books, The X-Files, etc. I picked up boxing in February and go every morning before work now. It's not only fun, but therapeutic. I live with my sister and have two cats. Grapefruit is my favorite scent. Courier is my favorite font. And I'm always happier when it's raining.

I used to be Mormon, but I'm not anymore. My parents still believe in the religion and I haven't come out to them as bisexual. I'm not ashamed or scared. I just don't want to have to manage their feelings about my life choices (and that's what I'd have to do if I told them I was bisexual). I will have no hang-ups having this discussion with them when the time comes. Thank god that time isn't now, though. :D
What I’m doing with my life
I am a fulfillment manager at a digital advertising company. I make sure everyone on my team likes their job and that we have fun on a regular basis. Work takes up so much of our lives. The more of it you can enjoy, the happier you'll be.

If I could choose any job and instantly be awesome enough at it to make a decent living, I'd be a fiction writer. I've won NaNoWriMo twice (2012 & 2015--if you know what this is then I like you already), but don't like either books enough to share what I wrote. But writing takes practice. I just need to buckle down and put the hours in.
I’m really good at
I'd say I'm pretty funny, but in a subtle and oftentimes sarcastic way as opposed to the three-guys-walk-into-a-bar way. I'm also overly concerned with making people feel comfortable and from what I can tell, I manage that pretty well.

I'm not too shabby at grammar, either.
The first things people usually notice about me
The first thing people would notice (or maybe the one thing someone might remember) about me would probably be the hilarious and/or stupid comments I just blurted out (hopefully hilarious more so than stupid, but that might be a matter of opinion).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite books are Jane Eyre, Catcher in the Rye, and Peter Pan.

My favorite movies are Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, Darjeeling Limited, and Millennium Actress.

My favorite shows are The X-Files, Scrubs, and Game of Thrones.

My favorite bands are U2, The Killers, and Arcade Fire.

My favorite foods are cheese, bread, and beer.
Six things I could never do without
rainy days
people that love me
alone time
something to do
occasional vacations
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I often think about things I would say to people if I had the guts and eloquence to say them. Or I think about new story ideas.
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm usually at home reading, seeing a movie that just came out, or going out to eat.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I talk out loud to my kitties all the time.
You should message me if
Send me a message if you are okay with someone who has only come out to herself very recently. I know there are those out there who don't have much patience with women in my position and I don't want to waste anyone's time. But I'm not unsure or trying to figure myself out. This is me. I really just want to connect with someone and be happier for it. Message me if you want the same thing. :)
