My self-summary
I just moved to the DC area from SF earlier in 2014. So far I like it but I am still trying to get the lay of the land and sort out where things are.

I work for an on-line consulting firm that specializes in helping non-profits raise money. They're good people, and I like the work.

I live with a moody, orange cat but no one else and have a small circle of close friends--all of whom are on the other side of the country. I am also an FTM (female to male transsexual), and I've been out for quite a while. I am completely comfortable with who I am, and it's important to me that the other people in my life are too. But I don't need or want to talk about being trans all the time.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I have a job I like and an apartment I love. I write a lot--mostly SciFi or fantasy. I enjoy doing it even if I never get published. I'm into SciFi and horror movies, video games, and bicycling. I'm an excellent window shopper.
I’m really good at
I'm a pretty darned good cook (or at least my friends think so). I also know a huge amount of useless trivia, which makes me decent at Trivial Pursuit.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm a little short for a guy, and if I'm not wearing a hat, my hair is guaranteed to be doing something weird.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Anything by Gaiman or Westfield, early Stephen King, CK Cherryh; mostly I enjoy scifi with a little fantasy thrown in ocasionally
Movies: Starship Troopers, Event Horizon, Pitch Black, Resident Evil (all of them), Day of the Dead, 28 Days Later, Full Metal Jacket, SLC Punk, Cabin in the Woods, any documentary involving space or dinosaurs

Music: Death Cab for Cutie, Placebo, Industrial Metal, Everclear, The Killers, Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend, The xx, Nine Inch Nails, Silversun Pickups, Something Corporate, Arctic Monkeys, Better Then Ezra, The Decemberists
Food: Thai, home cooking, Soul, Vietnamese, Southern, Sushi, Fusion, Indian; Okay, all food.
Six things I could never do without
Really, I could learn to do without almost anything. But things I really like and would hate to lose:
Good beer
Bad beer with good friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How the world would work if just one thing was different
On a typical Friday night I am
Exploring and looking for new places for good food and great beer.
You should message me if
you want to?

This is a weird question.
