My self-summary
Hi, Girls! I'm Rick and my friends and family know me to be funny (famous practical joker), kind, loving, extremely affectionate, loyal, hard working, smart, gentle, family-oriented, disciplined, strong, confident without being arrogant, successful, laid back, down to earth, fun loving, thrill seeking, & have a heart the size of a mountain.

I'm in a good place in my life finally (after having dealt with much adversity, sadness, and grief~two years of war, the deaths of several loved ones, a divorce, and the loss of my family as I once knew it~all at the same time). I have an enormously generous heart and spirit and I truly yearn for a best friend to share it with again someday.

I'm looking for a girl who can captivate me with her smile. It's gorgeous and radiates such a positive aura about you. You really project kindness, approachability, intelligence, and a love of fun. I find all of that really appealing and wholesomely sexy.

You've gotta be athletic and love sports. I want a partner who likes to move, perspire, have fun, participate in some lighthearted competition (like shooting H. O. R. S. E. in the driveway), and who wants to support me in the pursuit of a healthy, positive lifestyle.

My favorite sports teams are the San Antonio Spurs, the Indianapolis Colts, the Washington Capitols, the Atlanta Braves. Why so diverse? I grew up in Indiana & in Maryland, was stationed in San Antonio for 5 years, & have lived in Georgia for the past 14; so that's how my sports loyalties developed.

I love to attend pro or college sporting events. I have been to major sporting events all over the country. This started as a past time with my dad, who took me to many professional football, hockey, soccer, & lacrosse games when I was a kid. It would be nice to have a special girl to go to games with.

Intelligence is a real turn on to me. A woman who's a smart cookie, is well spoken, articulate, intellectually tough, has core values, knows what she believes in & isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes to be right is as arousing to me as an incredible shot of you in your birthday suit.

I love a woman who is a mother and a teacher. That tells me a lot about the kind of woman you are: kind, compassionate, nurturing, loving, attentive. Those are all extremely attractive qualities I'd want in my best friend, my partner in crime in the pursuit of fun, and my lifelong companion. I couldn't love a woman who didn't like children, animals, or the elderly. (It's been my experience that women who don't are usually selfish, greedy, and unable to share their hearts.)

If you have kids, that's a positive in my book. If you don't have any of your own but like them any way, that's a positive, too. If you don't have any, don't want any, and don't like any kids, then you shouldn't bother contacting me. I'm probably not the guy for you.

I love the outdoors and enjoy doing anything and everything possible outside. Basking in the sunshine makes me happy and positive, feeling a good breeze makes me feel light and airy, and kissing in the rain makes me feel close to the girl I love. (I've been known to impulsively jump into puddles and splash like a canon ball with my nieces and nephews during inclement weather.)

I want a girl to give my heart to...someone who loves having fun, laughing, spontaneity, and enjoying all the simple pleasures life has to offer. I want a girl who loves kissing; who wants to feel safe, warm, & cared for when she's wrapped up in my thick, strong, muscular, powerful arms.

I want a girl who will look up to me and let me be her hero when she needs one: to kill scary bugs, chase off snakes & wild animals, fix her car, protect her from harm, slay her dragons, and lift her up when she's down...a girl who will wait for me to open her door, pull out her seat, carry her heavy things, and who will turn to me when her heart is heavy and cry on my shoulder knowing I'll be her refuge and reassurance during difficult times.

I want a woman who will let me be a complete man; who will support and encourage me in my desire to be a powerful force for good...and who will let me show her my tender, gentle, caring side.

I'm looking for a girl who will dance with me in the kitchen when a good old school (like Marvin Gaye) tune comes on while we're cooking together. I want a girl who can make me laugh with just a knowing, mischievous glance. I want a partner in crime in the pursuit of fun and laughter!

I want a girl whose smile brings instant sunshine to my day...whose positive attitude compliments mine & who feels optimism is the best way to face adversity. I want a girl who's touch electrifies me, even if she's in curlers and without makeup. I want a girl who is extremely affectionate and likes to hold hands, sit together, hug & kiss, and exploit every opportunity to express emotion through the gift of touch.

I want a woman whose purity of heart and kindness motivates & inspires me to be the greatest man that I can be (my daughters do that but I want a partner in life who does the same). I want to be the rock my girl can depend on no matter what. I want her to know that I will always have her best interests at heart.

I want a girl to have extraordinary chemistry with...fireworks when we kiss, electricity when we touch, magic when we make love, sparks fly when our eyes connect. I want to be brave & strong for her and extremely protective of her in times of danger. I want a woman to love, cherish, honor, respect and admire.

I know how to treat a woman. I treat my daughters, my mother, my sisters, and even my former spouse with kindness, love, and respect. I'm a loving, devoted, and doting father. My kids are first in my heart and in my life.

When I was a boy, my mom received a gift from a friend that helped to shape my outlook towards women in general and to my partner in life specifically.

The gift was a plaque that basically said: "woman was made from the rib of man; not from his head to top him, nor from his feet to be stepped upon; but from beneath his arm to be protected by him; near his heart to be close to him; from his side to be equal to him." I read that every day until I left home for military service & it definitely made an impression on me.

I believe women should be treated with respect & dignity. I believe the best person should be chosen for the job, regardless of gender. I think gender should have no bearing on what a person earns. Your skills, knowledge, work ethic, productivity, & aggressiveness should determine what you earn--not your gender.

I'm old fashioned in many respects and I believe in chivalry, common courtesy, politeness, respect, and good manners. I open doors and pull out chairs. I believe in "ladies first" in all things except for facing risk and confronting danger. That's my job & I'm damn good at it.

I have a lot of influential women in my life who inspire me to be a better man: my daughters, my mother, my sisters, my grandmothers, my aunts, my nieces, and the mother of my children.

I'm a renaissance man of sorts. My mind is a sponge & I love to learn. I enjoy reading for pleasure & will read anything within reach, including the cereal box. I know how to cook, to build and fix things, to clean my house, sort & organize, do my own laundry, to sew and mend, landscape, and do other things that most men don't do.

I don't need a woman to be my mom, my maid, my cook, or my housekeeper. I can do all of those things quite well for myself. I need a woman to be my fully equal partner and to fill our home with love since that's what makes a house a HOME.

If any of this sounds appealing to you, then I'd love to hear from you.

I'm retired from the Air Force. I served 22 years. I served another 2 years after retirement with the Marine Corps in Iraq as a civilian surveillance systems engineer. I served 736 days on the battlefield and was embedded with Marine Infantry.

I lived the way they (the Marine infantry) lived and experienced all the risks and horrors that they did. I'm proud to be a combat veteran and to have served alongside my brothers & sisters in arms in harm's way. Somebody has to defend this nation and our way of life. Thank goodness America's armed forces are willing to do that for the rest of us.

Freedom isn't free & an American combat veteran & their loved ones sacrificed so that you could be free. Freedom has a flavor that the protected & the sheltered will never know.

Now that I'm back home, I'm still working in support of the Marine Corps. I maintain the AH-1W Cobra attack helicopter gunship flight simulator. I operate, maintain, and modify the simulator as well as participate in the training of the Marine combat aircrews. I love my job & my Marines. Semper Fi until I die!

When I was serving in the Air Force, I was a non-commissioned officer (an NCO, otherwise known as a Sergeant) and I was a leader of Battlefield Airmen. Our mission was to perform aircraft battle damage repair on combat damaged aircraft, even if the aircraft was in hostile or denied territory (the bad guys' back yard). The objective was to get the plane back in the fight for at least one more mission.

My job was to lead, care for, and protect my men; assess the battle damage; inspect for unexploded ordnance; design the repairs & explain them to my maintainers; perform in-progress repair inspections; advise superiors of mission status; document the repairs; then perform final inspections of the completed repairs & operationally test the entire aircraft before declaring it airworthy for another mission.

I always had the utmost confidence in myself and my men. We never failed to achieve our missions and always came through for our combat aircrews, our leadership, our Air Force, and our nation. Air Force~aim high~fly, fight, & win!

I worked on 40 different aircraft during my career. I'm an expert on defense electronics, aircraft maintenance, battle damage repair, infra-red thermal imaging systems, force protection, intelligence/surveillance/reconnaissance systems, electronic warfare & countermeasures, guidance & control systems, navigation & communication gear, and fire control systems that are used to put warheads onto foreheads.

I've got a sound moral compass, know what I want to do with my life, experienced dealing with challenges, adversity, and conflict in a constructive manner, and I'm taking my life in a productive, healthy, positive direction. I believe in living, laughing, and loving.

I'm financially independent and secure. I have my own home in a beautiful neighborhood. I live modestly so that I can give more to my children. I'm willing to drive to spend time with the right girl. I've got a nice, comfortable, reliable truck that I bought after my first tour in Iraq.

I live by the Golden Rule & treat others the way I want to be treated.

I think it's important to help other people whenever possible and to always leave a place better than you found it. I love hard, challenging yard work and major clean up projects. I'm excellent at fixing things and I'm extremely handy around the house. I'm also an excellent organizer. If you need help, I'd be glad to lend you a hand. I'm cheap labor and I'll work for pizza or hugs & kisses.

Kids & family are very important to me. I'm a proud daddy. I've got two smart, gorgeous daughters. I love spending time with my kids and I want to have fun with your kids, too. Without question, being a dad is the best job that I ever had.

I come from a blended family. I'm the oldest of 7 siblings (4 "whole" siblings, 1 step-brother, 1 half-sister, 1 half-brother). I love spending time with them and their children to the greatest extent possible. Next to being a dad, being an uncle is the best.

I'll be returning to college to finish my degree in electrical engineering once my education benefits are approved by the Veterans Administration. I'd also love to get a degree in history, as that is a passion of mine. I also plan on getting my private pilot's license (helicopter & fixed wing), my A & P license (Federal Aviation Administration Airframe & Power-plant maintenance license), maybe even getting a scuba certification.

Among other things on my life's bucket list, I want to climb mountains; explore caves (used to be an avid spelunker in high school); search for sharks teeth; swim with great whites, whale sharks, dolphins, whales, and killer whales (orcas); look for dinosaur fossils; wrangle alligators, crocodiles, & venomous snakes; do more bungee jumping; sky dive; water skiing; rebuild & restore a vintage war bird, then fly it around the world to visit all of my friends and loved ones; restore a vintage American muscle car, then drive it like I stole it! I also want to travel underwater in a submarine; visit military aviation museums in every country in the world; I want to do all of this in the company of the girl I love & adore with all of my heart.

I'm well traveled: been to 29 out of 50 states in the U. S. I have also been to Canada, Mexico, Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Grand Cayman Islands, Ireland, The Azores, Portugal, Germany, Turkey, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, & Iraq. There are 100's of other places I'd like to go. Will you be the one going with me?

I've been an athlete all of my life. I love sports. I love to compete & participate. I'm especially fond of attending the sporting events of my kids (daughters, nieces, nephews, & friends' kids). I love running and cycling, especially mountain bike riding on rugged trails. I also love mixed martial arts (known as MMA) and enjoy sparring & fighting with a training partner. I love watching Bellator & UFC MMA matches because the athletes are simply incredible.

I'm really interested in self-improvement. I would like to maximize my potential & see where that takes me in life. I'm always trying to build upon or improve some aspect of my life.

Right now, I'm trying to get back into excellent physical condition after experiencing a few physical set backs during the last few years of my military career. Like the old Chinese proverb: "fall down 7 times, get up 8." I will never ever give up.

To that end, I recently lost 31 pounds and improved my blood pressure and my cholesterol. I'm much stronger now and ready to press even harder to get to my ultimate fitness goals. I want to run a marathon or even do a triathlon eventually.

No picture, don't bother. If I can put mine up, so can you. At least have one or some you're willing to share in an email.

Additionally, if you're from one of the many poor, broke countries in western Africa (such as Ghana or Nigeria), I'm not interested in hearing your sob story & your need for my money. Hearing from 235 scammers in just a few months is disheartening & dealing with your nuisance emails keeps me from communicating with my dream girl, so f*#* off with your schemes to rip people off and exploit their loneliness. You're a disgusting example of humanity. I grew up poor & got an education & made something of myself. I didn't like my life so I changed it. I suggest you do the same, but don't expect my hard earned money when you do it.
What I’m doing with my life
Most importantly, I'm trying to be the best father, daddy, example setter, protector, and provider to my two gorgeous daughters. You couldn't find two better kids if there was such a thing as a "daughter catalog" that you could choose your children from. I'll do anything for my kids, including kill to protect them and die to save them. My daughters want me to be happy and are willing to accept you if they know you are sincere & have my best interests at heart.

I'm retired military. I spent 22 years in the world's greatest air & space force: The United States Air Force! I spent my career in avionics (airborne electronics) maintenance and maintained 40 different kinds of aircraft during my career.

I served America for 736 days as a Combat Contractor On The Battlefield in Iraq. I supported the Marine Corps as a surveillance systems engineer--traveled everywhere with them on combat missions via helicopter, tiltrotor, aircraft, & convoys. If you can name the scenario, I was in it. Al Qaida tried to kill me many times because of the work I did, which made their job significantly more difficult. (I hate those bastards!)

I'm continuing to support my beloved Marine Corps here at home now. I maintain the AH-1W Cobra gunship attack helicopter flight simulator here in Central Georgia. It's a fantastic job that allows me to interface with the flight crews and to continue pursuing my dream of flying.

I'm working on finishing my formal education. My goal is to become an electrical engineer. My education has been on hold while serving in the desert, but now that I'm back home I'll be aggressively attending classes once I get my military education benefits approved. My main focus now is taking care of my family & achieving my long-term goals.
I’m really good at
showing affection, kissing passionately (my lips are made for sin~ha ha), thinking positively, staying calm in the midst of chaos, subduing violent people, naming that tune & artist, trivia, writing, photography, computers, remembering names & faces, achieving goals, solving problems, keeping my promises, organizing stuff, paying attention to details, fixing aircraft & electro-mechanical military equipment. I'm learned to be an excellent cook since becoming single and I'd love to cook for you. My kids love everything I've prepared so far and I've yet to be convicted of culinary manslaughter so saddle up at the bar and grab yourself a plate! Two of my siblings are professional chefs and someday I want to be better than both of them!
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm bald, friendly, outgoing, open minded, warm hearted, fun-loving, handsome, big, definitely know my stuff, kind, funny, have a lot of confidence, & ready to hug a friend or to fight a bully as the situation dictates. I'm also a kid magnet~kids love me because they can sense a kindred, fun-loving spirit in me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite book: any history book, comic books, The Bible, aviation history books, Do-It-Yourself home improvement books.

Favorite movie: Shawshank Redemption, Good Fellas (any gangster movie), Heaven Is For Real, The Dark Knight Rises, The Green Mile, The Notebook, Fireproof, DC & Marvel super hero movies (Guardians of The Galaxy ROCKED!)

Favorite music: LOVE MUSIC!! Have over 10,000 songs on my iPod! Love anything by Bob Marley & The Wailers, Michael Rose, Black Uhuru, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Cash, rock, alternative, R&B, soul, Motown, jazz, classical, hip hop, rap, Top 40, country

Favorite food: no question--pizza!! with brownies & fajitas a close second; like to eat healthy with an occasional splurge every now and then.
Six things I could never do without

I've lost everything before so material things mean nothing to me. However, in the spirit of internet dating: my loved ones, your affection & love, my core values, San Antonio Spurs, pizza, the military way of life (Duty, Honor, Country), computer, internet, cell phone, camera, iPod, my truck, & my Batmobile. That's more than six but who cares--I don't.

After two years of combat operations on the battlefields of Iraq, I've learned that I can live without an awful lot of creature comforts. Life with the Infantry teaches you that you can live without anything except your family.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about taking your breath away the first time we kiss. I think about your arms around my neck when I sweep you off your feet.
On a typical Friday night I am
If there's fun to be had, then you'll find me in the middle of it! I'm either going out to do something fun (dinner, movie, etc.) or attending a school event for my kids. Whatever I'm doing, you can bet I wish I was doing it with my dream girl. Are you the one?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have seen the Little Mermaid & the Wizard of Oz at least 300 times each (got kids...what can I say). I'm also masculine enough to admit as a father of two daughters that I now know more about Barbie dolls than I ever thought humanly possible. I am also confident enough in my masculinity to admit that I have been the subject of a number of my daughters' "salon makeovers." (Yeah, I've worn make up. ha ha Whatever makes them happy!)
You should message me if
You'd like to meet, correspond, text, or email. I much prefer an old fashioned face-to-face meeting over a litany of endless text/email messages.

I don't care about age, race, or build (to a degree~you can't be a couch potato or the subject of a SeaWorld rescue mission). I've dated inter-racially before.

You have to be intelligent, open minded, kind, well grounded, emotionally balanced, and sweet. Got to be drug/disease/drama free~I am!

Physically speaking, I tend to like athletically built women, but also appreciate a woman who is curvy & voluptuous.

I enjoy writing & meeting new people so drop me a line if you're interested. I'm open to all kinds of new experiences and am willing to try most anything at least once!
The two of us
