My self-summary
Everyone, men and women, alike, all basically say the same things and describe themselves the same way on all of the dating web sites. Having tried some of these sites before, and had some good luck, but not as often as I would have hoped for, honestly, I'm bored of reading about walks on the beach and that you love to travel. I enjoy these things, as well, but none of that means we will be a good match. The bottom line is, no matter what we write, it all comes down to being attracted to each other, then making a connection and having great chemistry. The only way to know if this exists is to meet face to face. Here's my idea: Let's skip a lot of the ping pong emails and let's just go for it...face to face. Either we'll like each other enough to know we want to go out a second time, or we'll part in a friendly manner and move on. All in favor, send me a message and/or respond to mine.
What I’m doing with my life
I work for myself out of my home, so I am free to come and go as I please. I work hard at my businesses but still find time to go out, have fun, exercise, and peruse my other interests, like music, Steinway pianos, staying fit/working out , my dogs, the mountains and traveling.
I’m really good at
Judging character, listening, being supportive and patient.
I can prepare real food. I got tired of eating cereal and pb&j and figured out how to make healthy and delicious meals. I don't consider myself a chef or even a cook, rather, a survivalist. ;) I now believe that if you can read you can cook. I get recipes on line and they actually taste pretty good. I'm a pro level musician and composer. I'm good at other things, too. You'll just have to find out first hand what those skills and talents are.
The first things people usually notice about me
humor, sincerity, openness and humility.....
plus, I'm physically fit :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: East of Eden- Movies: Silver Streak & Rocky, Forrest Gump- Music: My own compositions, Bruce Springsteen (his older stuff-Born to Run era), U2, The Who, Mumford & Sons ) TV: Californication ( I don't watch much TV, but liked this series) Food: I eat everything and (almost) anything... but mostly healthy style... not too much fried stuff, please.
The six things I could never do without
great friends and close family relationships
music: listening/composing/playing/performing/recording
Steinway pianos
working out/running/hiking
the mountains
the company of an (amazing) intelligent, beautiful, affectionate, loving, fit, emotionally stable woman
Sorry, that's sort of more than 6.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why it's so difficult to meet a great woman in L.A.?... and one who doesn't want me to to support her after a few weeks of dating. Well, I think about a lot of other stuff, too. But let's save all of that for our first date.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either out with friends, playing music or hanging with my kids.
(2 out of 3 currently live out of state. ( 1 just graduated college, the 2nd is 1/2 way through college. The 3rd. is 1/2 way through high school)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm open to on-line dating.
You should message me if
You want to meet a loyal, energetic, fun loving, fit, fairly successful guy who knows how to treat a woman the way she deserves to be treated and who doesn't play games.

PS: If you like my profile, please don't just hit the "like" button because I'm not a paid member of the site, so I won't know who is liking me, and won't be able to respond. Better yet, please go ahead and send me a message. :)
