I live out today without worrying too much about tomorrow, or next year or any point of time in future. I don't worry about pretty much anything, including exams which I have not studied well enough. I don't know what you'd call that.
I admit to not being a great conversationalist. But once you and I are comfortable with each other, I would be very easy-going and you can pretty much talk about anything to me.
I guess I have written quite a bit for self-summary. Of course, I can't put my whole personality down here. So if you want to know more, there's always the Message button!
A few things about me:
My religion is Pastafarianism, and I'm very serious about it. Hail FSM! I don't really fancy alcoholic drinks, but occasionally (quite rarely to be honest) I drink socially.
For the multi-cultural:
Nama saya Arun. Saya belajar sedikit bahasa Melayu di universiti. Saya suka belajar bahasa baru. Adakah kamu menjadi kawan saya?
你好。 我叫阿伦。 我学习汉语。 我也学习电脑科学。 我是南大的学生。 我是印度人。 我的朋友都是新加坡人。 你想成为我的朋友？
I am silent, thoughtful, and mysterious. This is from a feature OkC had a long time ago.
Nah, that's just my TV life, and I don't have any children yet. I was in Temasek Poly, doing my Diploma... now I'm in Nanyang Tech doing my Degree.
The geeky details:
Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, Office, Internet, C++, Java, VB, HTML, CSS, Building your own computer.
I'm not an avid reader, just an occasional one. I like thought-provoking non-fiction books. Richard Dawkins has some of the best books.
I strongly prefer English movies, though I'm watching Bollywood catching up with great movies such as Ra.One. Very recent English movies I like include Inception (very thought-provoking) and Avatar (awesome visual effects with a great storyline) Some of the classics I like are: Titanic (can't wait for the 3D remake!), Jurassic Park, The Matrix series, Terminator series.
Well I think you pretty much know most of them already. I would like to add The Big Bang Theory and Battlestar Galactica to the list.
I like songs that have nice beats. Hmm, too simple, right? Ok, here's a picture: Evanescence, Eminem, Rihanna, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Jessie J, Avril Lavigne, Panic! At the Disco, Natalie Kills, P!nk. But I don't like or have heard every song in every album of every artist here. Just certain songs.
Nowadays I find myself staying within my comfort zone when it comes to food, and only occasionally stepping a little bit outside it. I think I need a big push. I find it funny that meat has become so commonplace that its glamour as a "special occasion dish" is completely lost. I like to try vegetarian food and have even gone vegetarian for a certain period of time. And I don't understand how some people (like my mom!) don't feel the meal is complete without any sort of meat or fish.
Arrrgh! Nothing is coming to my mind other than the obvious...
Tick tock, tick tock. You will click the Message button when I snap my fingers. *snap*
