I enjoy being out in the woods whenever I get the chance. Camping and hiking are two of my favorite ways to spend the odd summer weekend. Nothing beats getting friends together for a campfire and hard cider in the fall.
Last year I got to travel to France, England, and Germany for work and decided I really want to get out and travel more in the future. I can't wait to go back to Bordeaux!
When I'm not at my desk, I like to spend my free time hiking, camping, playing RPGs or listening to music. Any other time, you'll probably find me wrapped up in a podcast or audiobook of some kind.
I just bought a house in Parkville and lately I've been spending a lot of time renovating my kitchen and unpacking.
I've also been working on my cooking lately. I'd love to meet some who would enjoy cooking with me (or just helping me eat afterwards).
There's never been a Michael Crichton novel I didn't devour. Lately I've been working my way through the Honor Harrington series.
Current read - In Enemy Hands (Honor Harrington Book 7)
Previous Read - Pinkerton's Great Detective: The Amazing Life and Times of James McParland
I could list TV shows for ages, but Doctor Who, Firefly, Archer, Arrested Development, Sherlock, and Battlestar Galactica sum up my tastes fairly well. I also watch documentaries on any damn topic they happen to cover.
If it's funny or a western, I'll love it. Some of my all time favorites though are Duck Soup, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, and Once Upon a Time in the West.
I'm also a big fan of podcasts, including The Bugle, Stuff You Missed In History Class, Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, and The Thrilling Adventure Hour.
