My self-summary
"When you are in the final days of your life, what will you want? Will you hug that college degree in the walnut frame? Will you ask to be carried to the garage so you can sit in your car? Will you find comfort in rereading your financial statement? Of course not. What will matter then will be people. If relationships will matter most then, shouldn't they matter most now?"
- Max Lucado

I own my own home in Joliet and have a son that is my #1 priority.

I really enjoy football and the Bears are my team. I also enjoy different types of games. I love hockey too and was a fan before the Black Hawks were good. Board Games, Cards, Role Playing, Computer, etc etc. It goes with the territory of raising my son. Judge me all you want but I'd rather be playing games and enjoying time with my son then going to some hole in the wall bar and getting drunk.

What I'm looking for:
Someone to share inside jokes with, fall asleep with while watching a movie. Someone to share warm soft kisses and hold hands with not because we have to, but because we can't stand not to. Someone who can talk about anything with me. Who shares some of my interests, but has their own too. I want to be in the kind of relationship that is warm and fun and lasting.
What I’m doing with my life
Taking care of my son.

Currently in the process of going back to school. I teach guitar but want to continue my education not only to get a supporting day job, but to expand my knowledge.
The first things people usually notice about me
I don't know, I will ask next time I bump into a stranger.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't read much.
I have read the Lord of the Rings books. Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy was awesome! The book was. The most recent movie was kind of blah. The original ones from the early 80's are so much fun to watch. I have them on DVD.

I can honestly say there really isn't a genre of movie I won't watch. I have my preferences but I'm open. I was in film school for a few years. Don't be surprised if I analyze the movie.

My favorite genre would probably be 80's hair metal. Just a fun time for music. I'm not going to list everything else.
Six things I could never do without
I can't list six things, I own 11 guitars and last I checked 11 > 6.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I'm tired of being Duckie, I want to be Blane. Kudos if you understand the reference.

My biggest problem would be I spend too much time thinking. Leads to some long boring nights of insomnia. See..

What do I do when I break or use up a stick of deodorant after using it on one arm pit and find out my new deodorant is a different scent? Oh the humanity!! What key is this song is in? What are the notes of that key? Where are they located on the fretboard? Are there are a bunch of butterflies out there with tattoos of women on their lower backs? Did I leave the stove on? Dude, where is my car? If you are traveling at the speed of light in a really fast car, would your headlights work? Just why is 42 the answer to life, the universe and everything? If women want respect and don't want hook ups then why use a thumbnail of a close up of your cleavage? Did I remember to check for traps? Where is my pick? No not that one, the other one. This song is in G: G, A, B, C, D, E, F♯, G. Relative minor of G is B. I'll loot the room. Okay, I'll stop. I think something is burning.
On a typical Friday night I am
Friday night is game night in one of my local gaming groups. Again judge me all you want but it sure beats going out and getting drunk.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm Batman!
You should message me if
If you are bored. Why is it so hard for people to just reply saying you are not interested?

You want to make a new friend. I am at a time in my life where I value friendship. Once a solid friendship has been built, a relationship can be built upon it. I am in no hurry. If you can handle that I am a widower. My wife passed away almost four years ago.
The two of us
