My self-summary
Chicagoland native turned long-term San Francisco resident. Attorney at law. Solid cook. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu hobbyist and competitor. I'm also into road cycling (though it's been a while), hiking on occasion, and I can karaoke pretty well. If you appreciate wit over volume, you'll probably like me.
What I’m doing with my life
Lawyering, living in SoMa, training jiu jitsu, spending time with friends and family, reading to quell my curiosity, and chasing happiness.
I’m really good at
Lawyering, speaking my mind, staying in shape, and making fun of pop culture.
The first things people usually notice about me
Hard to say. Conversely, over time, people notice I'm about as silly as it gets and I love laughing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Latest read was Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance, which was pretty eye-opening. I'm in the middle of Weapons of Math Destruction by Cathy O'Neil. Latest memorable watch was 13th on Netflix. Food Network shows are usually a decent default.

One of my favorite things to do in the City is to watch musicals at the Orpheum or Golden Gate Theatre.
Six things I could never do without
Friends/family, coffee, the Internet, comedy, a kitchen, and exercise.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why people behave the way that they do in different contexts.
On a typical Friday night I am
At the gym and then either at home relaxing or catching up with friends or family.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a nerd who gets pretty easily bored. I get along with most, but am an introvert at heart. Stimulating conversation is a must.
You should message me if
you can relate to me on some level. In full disclosure, I tend to get along best with empathetic intellectuals who have also figured out how to laugh through life.
