My self-summary
Hello! I'm Adam. I'm clever, I have a great (odd) sense of humor that sometimes pops up in "less than opportune" moments, but over all I receive more compliments than complaints. I'm a lover of life and good times, I try not to over think things. I do have a plan, to be sure, but for now a little more adventure in my life would be quite welcome. I LOVE to read! I like to go out and walk at odd hours, I have a tendency to walk through doors marked "Do Not Enter." I can take a joke and role with the punches but I try to never overstep bounds, (unless it's called for). I guess My ideal day involves craft beers, board games and close friends. I don't know what else to really say about me.... Just ask, I guess! :)
What I’m doing with my life
Hope to be finishing up a degree in engineering soon once I have saved up some money.
If I can ever get around to it I'll find myself a kit, grab my sticks and start drumming again. I exercise but I am by no means a fitness freak, I simply realized that I feel much better being healthy (plus I need an excuse to gobble down a steak every now and then) I love playing D&D with my friends and board game nights are amazingly fun (especially if there is a fair amount of alcohol involved). Other than that I'm going out or staying in, as long as I can find good company to do it with. I tend to come up with fun (some might say odd) activities to do around town. But I also have days where curling up on the couch and watching movies sounds like just the ticket. I suppose I'm up for anything if you are :)
I’m really good at
Talking, drinking, laughing, reading, sarcasm, hugging and general celebration of life.
The first things people usually notice about me
At first I come off a little: "larger than life." My personality tends to stick out a bit, but it's really a way for me to learn about the people around me. I'm talkative and not afraid to back down from a conversation.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: (Disclaimer: I managed a used bookstore so this is a horribly chopped down list that I only made because I felt I should put something down. Trust me, this list is VERY long).Ready Player One, The Count of Monte Cristo, 1984, The Dresden Files, The Illustrated Man (really anything by Ray Bradbury), From Earth to the Moon, Treasure Island, The Dark Tower Series, pretty much anything by Cory Doctorow, American Gods, DUNE (seriously though.... DUNE!) most of the Forgotten Realms Books, most of Lovecraft's works, Earth Abides, When (and After) Worlds Collide... You're probably picking up a sci-fi theme at this point annnnnd you are not wrong. And I'm not going to get started on comic books... Let's just say if you love the bonkers and badass (see Tank Girl) you will like what I do.

Movies: The Last Starfighter Lawrence of Arabia, Army of Darkness, Alien, Cool Hand Luke, The Big Lebowski, The Hudson Hawk and (most) Kevin Smith movies. Plus a whole crap load of old sci-fi from the 50's and 60's and schlock sci-fi of the 70's and 80's.

T.V. Shows: Boston Legal, MST3K, Daredevil, Star Trek (all), 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, The I.T. Crowd, Doctor Who, Community, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, @Midnight, Last Week Tonight, QI

Music: Gorrilaz, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, AC/DC, Queen, The Beards, Old Crow Medicine Show, Devil Makes Three, The White Stripes, Louis Armstrong, Reggie Watts, I am also obsessed with Broadway musicals from a very young age.

Food: Thai Food, Pizza (pepperoni and extra cheese), Steak, sushi, Bar-B-Q and burgers (I make a damn good burger.) Slow cooked red beans and rice.
Six things I could never do without
1. My friends, they are pretty much my life.
2. Books, they give me peace in my off hours.
3. Beer, what can I say, I enjoy a good drink.
4. Cooking. A fine meal makes Adam happy.
5. Movies, I love going to the movies.
6. Conversation, whether political debate, book discussion or just a nice chat about life, I love to talk.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, love, my studies, the stars, traveling, and really nerdy queries like: "Why doesn't Superman wear lead armor?"
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably having a get together with my friends, playing board games, keeping it low key and fun. Either that or out at a pub. :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Wouldn't be terribly private if I put it on a website for all to see. In conversation though, who knows?
You should message me if
you are interesting. You should message me if you like to converse, are intelligent and can both handle and give back witty banter. Message me if you are sure, confident and strong in self. I suppose I shall sum it up in a phrase: "Message me, if you dare." :)
