My self-summary
It's kind of hard to sum up who I am in a nice little list; but here's my best shot, in no particular order:

-I'm working as a post-doctoral researcher in immunology. Sometimes the hours are weird and the experiments are gross, but I love what I'm doing. I'm doing my best to keep science from consuming my life. Some days I'm more successful than others.

-I have a pretty sarcastic and kind of dark sense of humor. Probably the most important thing I'm looking for is someone who can make me laugh.

-I LOVE doing anything outdoors. Camping, going to the beach, hiking or even just walking around the city on a nice day; all of them are awesome (though I don't get to do these as often as I would like to).

-I'm always looking for a new adventure to keep life interesting. It can be as simple as trying a random new restaurant or it can be something like paintball.
What I’m doing with my life
Slaving away in a lab. It's not glamorous, but I'm getting paid to do something I love; plus I can show up to work in sweatpants at whatever time I feel like in the morning. That's pretty tough to beat.
I’m really good at
I kick ass at scrabble. I can run pretty far kind of fast. I like to get creative in the kitchen and it only sometimes turns out awful. And as of this year, fantasy football. Why didn't I know how fun this was before?!
The first things people usually notice about me
How the hell should I know? This is a stupid question.
"Hi, nice to meet you. Tell me, what did you notice about me just now?"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Other favorites include Into Thin Air, 1984, Born to Run, Surely You're Joking Mr. Feynman

Shows: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Archer, The Daily Show/Colbert Report. No, I haven't seen Breaking Bad, The Wire, or Dexter. Yes, I am aware that they are good shows and that I need to watch one of these days. They're on my list.

Music: Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chile Peppers, Mumford and Sons, Of Monsters and Men, alt J, Twenty One Pilots

Food: I could eat Mexican food for every meal and not get tired of it. Also, anything spicy.
The six things I could never do without
1. Coffee
2. Friends/family
3. Good food
4. An intellectual challenge
5. Exercise
6. The outdoors
I spend a lot of time thinking about
T cells and various other science related things, unfortunately. Sometimes I just need to go for a long run or watch something stupid on cable for a few hours to get it out of my head.
On a typical Friday night I am
At happy hour at a nearby bar or unwinding at home with a craft beer or two. My favorite nights are spent hanging around a table with a bunch friends and a bunch of beers just talking about whatever comes up.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My younger brother found my profile on here. Apparently we're a match. Thanks for that OKcupid.
