I work in the media (TV) on the technical side of things and can talk about a variety of topics, including current events in the news and I love lively engaging conversations.
I like to do lots of different things, including movies, travel, camping, riding my bike on the Silver Comet trail. I have lost about 65 pounds since my lap-band surgery and am always excited to look in the "regular" women's clothing sizes. I still have about 30 pounds to go---so I am not thin. More on the "fluffy" side!! :D
I often head back to the western states to see family and friends and miss the mountains, BUT not the winters out west. I like Atlanta's mild weather and don't miss owning a snow shovel. (does Walmart even carry them here??) I have been to Yellowstone many times, and my folks own a cabin near the west entrance of the park.
I am kinda witty, fun, and a listener. I love to people watch!!
I don't mind being alone at my house, but doing things with someone would be sooo much nicer. I have been Geocaching, which makes being in the great outdoors fun, that is, if your GPS works well!! :D Don't know what it is?? There is a great website where you can plug in your zipcode and "caches" that other people have hidden are all around you (www.Geocaching.com). It's a great way to explore little known places in Georgia!! It would be nice to find someone who likes to do things like this.
I like to listen to people, and I love to people watch!! It's always fun to watch the people in Atlanta's airport as they race to catch their flights, while waiting to catch mine!!
Ahhh!! Music!! I am varied in my interests. I mostly listen to WSB radio in the car and then alternative rock on "Octane" on XM satellite. When Atlanta got rid of their new rock stations I decided I was going to take my dollars elsewhere, so Sirius/XM it is. I often say that I have music tastes of a 25 year old. Disturbed, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Atreyu, Fuel, Tool, Alice in Chains are some of my faves. You have to be very young at heart to know who I mean by those names.
This Country and how blessed we are to live here!!
hmmm......that's 5, thinking on some other things.
I sometimes will go with friends to Johnny's Hideaway, or just to a friend's house party. I am generally home lately because I got flooded here in Austell in September 2009. The house still needs some work to recover, but I am doing it like I want it.
Recently I have found there are guys on here who are not emotionally ready for the dating scene. You shouldn't be on here if you still think you can work things out with your ex wife or ex-GF. Just please PLEASE be sure you are ready for the dating scene and being single. I realize that there are likely women on here as well who are not ready to leap out in the singles world either, and you likely have your own experiences on here where you have been burned.
Please do NOT be afraid to message me. I am not shy about firing off a nice little 1 or 2 line note telling you how I enjoyed reading your profile and how you were expressive and had a lot to say. It's refreshing to read a profile by a guy who an write and express himself well.
