My self-summary
Hey Kiddo.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a writer/performer and make my living in a field I'm super passionate about. I write and teach improv. And if I'm not doing those things, I'm touring. I really love to travel, even if it's just getting out of town for a couple days (Palm Springs is rad!). I've been lucky enough to spend time in London and Paris and now I really want to see Ireland and Japan. I also dig exploring people's hometowns (heading to Lowell soon with some friends). My schedule is pretty flexible, but always busy. So as much as I love sleeping in, it's getting harder and harder which sucks because I'm a fucking great sleeper.
I’m really good at
making families out of friendships. In LA, I've really found a group of people I love and hanging with them is of high priority. I am often the one to put together group trips/outings. I recently arranged for 31 of us to see the Book of Mormon together.

I'm also great at fixing things. Not like "oh, you're neurotic, let me fix you"... Like, "what's the best way to mount a vintage lunch box display" problems. PS - it's with a plate hanger... I can fix stuff like broken fans, hot tubs, or whatever else needs to get done in order for us to have a good time.

I'm also great at making things: art, refurbishing discarded furniture, making a shitty apartment a home. I love me a good diy project.

Oh and I love to cook. For Christmas, I made homemade pesto and ketchup for all my friends. I make awesome ice creams and I try to juice every morning.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a beauty mark above my lip and I ask a lot of questions.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite book is When Thing Fall Apart by Pema Chodron. I love David Sedaris and Martin McDonagh, currently reading Fran Lebowitz. I'm obsessed with cults and will read anything about them. And yes, I think the Landmark Forum is a cult.

My top movies are Goodfellas, Stand By Me, Raising Arizona, Hedwig & The Angry Inch, The Social Network, Vacation, and the Talented Mr. Ripley. Also, I'll pretty much watch any documentary ever made. You name it, I've seen it... So I can rattle off lots of recs for docs... My favorite is Jonestown: The Rise & Fall of People's Temple (once again, cults).

As far as TV goes, I'll watch the shit out of anything on Bravo, Louie, Always Sunny, RuPaul's Drag Race, Colbert Report, Strangers w/ Candy, IFC's miniseries Carlos and Conan.

James is my favorite band of all time and yes, I realize that no one else seems to like them. Despite the fact that I may be the only James fan in the US, I do have good taste in music and love to see shows. I've been on a real throwback kick to the music I listened to in High School (that's the 90's gentlemen). I like Pavement, Cursive, Cloud Cult, Sam Cooke, the National, Lyrics Born, Tribe Called Quest... Basically, if it's good, I'll like it. I'll listen to some Odd Future and then some Ani DiFranco.

I love Mexican food and cats.
Six things I could never do without
a sense of humor
my computer
my cats
good food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what's next.
On a typical Friday night I am
with my friends. Within the past couple years, I've shifted away from house parties to dinner parties. I'd rather hang out and be able to talk than stand in a gross Hollywood apartment screaming "do you want another beer?"
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I won't get into my bed unless it's made... And if you knock on my door, there's a 50% chance you'll hear me say "hold on, I'm not wearing pants!"
You should message me if
you're drawn to the smart, strong ones... cuz I am too.
The two of us
