My self-summary
Live in Brooklyn Heights. Working on a documentary for fun and working downtown in hospital to pay the bills. I love animals, good food, good writing, and good company. I've traveled the world and seen quite a bit but I am glad to call NYC home for the last 6 years.
What I’m doing with my life
Hunting. Gathering; like all New Yorkers.
But surviving well in a highly urban environment.
In addition to working at my full time job, I am writing and producing a documentary on criminal justice.
I’m really good at
Creating amazing excel sheets. Planning fun trips - but I never follow itineraries once I get where I am going...
The first things people usually notice about me
surprise me!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have to admit that I like TV well done. I also love documentaries so her are my tops in the last few years. You do not have to like these too but always more fun to watch with someone.
- Making a murderer
- The Jinx
- Central Park Five
- Jiro loves sushi
- Chef's table
- Game of Thrones
- Walking Dead
- Vikings
- Anything by Besson
Reading is important to me and I always have a few books going at any given time. I am currently reading The Peregrine, The New Jim Crow, and 1Q84. I regularly read the Economist to stay up to date even if they are a bit conservative at times. And I am a big podcast follower. I loved Serial. Could not get enough.
Food is life. I've travelled a lot for work and fun so there is not much I have not tried or would not be willing to try. I really enjoy cooking too - when I make the time for it. I caught some Halibut last summer in Alaska and froze and shipped it home. The filets filled my freezer but they are almost gone now. They made some terrific ceviche.
Six things I could never do without
airplanes, bicycles, a tennis racket, a comfortable bed, comfortable shoes, making out and great sex
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Social justice and the weird new world that ha been created by the recent elections
On a typical Friday night I am
at happy hour after a long week of workin' hard. Things get more interesting and diverse after 8pm.
You should message me if
You find me intriguing.
Oh, and also if you like Cherry Garcia ice cream and ironic humor.... just kidding. You don't have to like ironic humor. ;)
