My self-summary
People have said that I have a generally warm disposition, I know how to treat my friends and family with the utmost love and respect. I do tend to be shy at first in social situations, but given some time, I usually start the social process with some wit and humor, which my friends say I have in ready supply.

I am a scholar, a geek, and a passionate man at my core. I enjoy learning things about the world and its cultures, enjoy some pop culture and technology like video games and the Internet from time to time, and I pursue all things in leisure, career, and personal relationships with the same determination and drive. Some people say I'm an old-fashioned kind of guy, the kind who treats women with respect and with chivalry, and they would be correct.

The type of woman I'm attracted to is a woman who is intelligent and passionate, with clear ideas of what she wants in life and the determination to go for it. Someone who enjoys learning about anything, be it a new hobby, random knowledge, or someone willing to teach what they like to others to help them understand, because that's certainly a trait of mine. My ideal is just someone to experience life with and enjoy all the comforts and pleasures that it has to offer :) Staying active and healthy is also important to me. I enjoy running and swimming when my schedule allows it (which currently lets me get back into the groove). I've even participated in Indy's mini-marathon and probably would do it again.

Good conversations are a no-brainer with me. I can talk about any kind of topic, even those that most people would stay clear from without judgement or bias, whether it's about movie preferences or political beliefs.
What I’m doing with my life
After 3 long years of graduate school, I'm trying to find my place in the world like so many other souls. I have a general idea where I would like to go, but you never know what might be around the corner. Currently I'm working in the non-profit sector at a local library as a circulation assistant. I enjoy my work and I look forward to seeing where it can take me :)
I’m really good at
Paying attention to detail- I enjoy people-watching and I tend to analyze conversations using my mind and impressive memory. I have had many good conversations with friends and family on a variety of topics, and I have a real knack for pointing out contradictions. From a relationship point of view, I rarely miss an anniversary or someone's favorite something, and I never abuse my knowledge. With great power comes great responsibility.

Plenty of energy- I always do my best to stay active, so I always have a powerful amount of energy throughout the day. This serves me well in many different aspects of daily life, and I do so to go to sleep knowing I accomplished something truly awesome today.

Other things involve cooking, relaxing, singing and playing music, listening, socializing, meditation, photography, learning, and just loving life and loving people.
The first things people usually notice about me
I guess the first thing people notice is my height. I've been called everything from giant to bigfoot about it, so It's nothing new. After that it would be my eyes and my smile, which people have said seem like there's always something on my mind. 90% of the time, they're right, because I'm always thinking.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books- I try to stay well read, but there's only so much time in a day. I generally stick with classics like Sherlock Holmes or a more humorous title like Denis Leary's Why We Suck, but I'm mostly open to any genre. (Except Twilight.)

Movies- I LOVE movies, so much I'll watch a movie and memorize it to playblack in my mind when I'm super bored. I enjoy classics, comedy, horror, action, the whole nine yards.

TV shows- Shows I'll actually go out of the way to watch if I can are the following:

Top Chef, Doctor Who, Wipeout, Biggest Loser, Burn Notice, South Park, Animal Planet, Auction Hunters, 1000 Ways to Die, CSI, Adventure Time, and other particular shows that catch my fancy. Even original videos on Youtube have caught my eye.

I am open to a lot of different stuff however.

Music- Open pretty much to anything with an awesome beat, but I tend to enjoy classic rock, electronic, and classical/classical remixes. I find that putting a violin to anything makes it instantly better, no matter the genre. Lately, Irish folk and rock have been climbing my playlists, and I'm ok with that.

Food- Anything Spicy. Like Fire-in-your-mouth-please-make-it-stop spicy. Ive eaten ghost chili peppers and Florida death hot sauce, its the best. Region-wise, I gotta go with Italian over anything else with Japanese as a second, although all food is potentially good with me.
Six things I could never do without
1. My MP3 Player/music- When I'm working out, at school/work, or just relaxing I am always enjoying music. If not, then I just sing to myself, and although I have a great singing voice, seeing a giant sing random songs just looks weird sometimes.

2. Ground Red Pepper/Red Pepper Flakes- I love my food hot. Seriously, I mean HOT. Plus, it energizes my mood, metabolism, and to some degree, my libido. What's not to love?

3. My Laptop/Cell Phone- My contact to the rest of the world as well as a prime source of personal entertainment and a weapon of mass distraction.

4. Skim Milk- Can't get enough of the stuff. I go through like 2 gallons per week. It's just so good after a long day/workout....

5. The Internet- I use the internet a lot to do work and research, unwind with some youtube videos, check e-mail and communicate with friends, or manage my finances. Without it, I'd be in real trouble.......

6. Family- My family has really been there to support me with every choice I've made with my life, and they continue to be a source of support to keep me going when some days get tough.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
*The meaning of life........ok, not all the time, but sometimes....
*Random songs that just pop into my head through my mp3 player or Pandora.
*If people learn from their mistakes, wouldn't we as a collective society be the most intelligent species on the planet?
*that awesome new comedy that just came out, too bad going to the movies costs an arm and a leg, with an eye for refreshments....
*I should have been born in the 1920s, with my love of classic suit fashion, analytical nature, and the excitement of criminal investigations.
*Why does Micheal Bay take joy in ruining pieces of 90s nostalgia?
*Where's my coffee, that term paper is due in 30 hours........
*Why do we drive on a parkway and park in a driveway?
*Where's my tea, these applications are repeating themselves....
On a typical Friday night I am
Either hanging out with friends watching a movie and playing some games or I'm chilling at home with some music and a good book. Yes, exciting I know, I like it too.

I do enjoy going out sometimes with friends, although i would much rather prefer spending some quality time with a significant other, whether its a exciting night on the town or an even more exciting night at home :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If I told you, that would completely ruin the fun of finding out for yourself, would it?
You should message me if
*you enjoy good conversations
*you enjoy the tall, dark, and handsome type.
*you're looking for both compassion AND passion.
*You're looking for someone with intelligence, both in the educational and practical sense :)
