My self-summary
I'm a musician, a handyman, a gamer, a movie critic, an avid reader, and a craft beer connoisseur.

If you take a look at my previous photos, you'll see that I had(for quite a long time) long hair and a beard. I felt like a change and cut it all off. So far I'm liking the cleaner-cut look, but I'm sure I'll change it up in the future.

I like intellectual discourse and debate. It's how we learn more and how we gain perspective. Even if it's about something silly, I love a good debate. I'm heavily driven by the basic philosophy of all the sciences: take in new information, re-evaluate. I'm always trying to change for the better. I like hearing new opinions, doing new things, going new places. I never know what I'll like until I try it. Challenge me! Dare me to do something new, take a new risk, look at things in a different way.

I just graduated from a lutherie school, having made four guitars. I work part-time at Sam Ash Music and do freelance guitar repair on the side. I hope to have a successful custom guitar shop one day. Occasionally I play bass trombone in a volunteer jazz band, the Cincinnati Jump & Jive Show Band. Other than that, I practice trombone/alto sax/guitar, play video games or read.

Update: My guitar-building business has started, and I'm currently working on my first prototype. Look up Ivaldi Guitars on facebook to see what's going on!

I build and play guitar(about 7 or 8 years now), amongst the myriad other instruments I play. I'm fairly musically inclined. I have built two electric guitars, an acoustic, an archtop, and otherwise I own two more electric guitars and three electric basses. My life may turn into an episode of Hoarders, but with guitars.
What I’m doing with my life
I just graduated from a lutherie school, and I've got ambitions to open up my own repair/custom shop within the next few years. The gig at Sam Ash is giving me some funds to start up my guitar-making (hopefully) sometime soon.
I’m really good at
Music, gaming, listening, being silly, relaxing
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm told I often look angry, but I think that's just my default expression. I'm more often than not thinking about something other than how my face looks.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Belgariad and the Malloreon(David Eddings), the Ender's Game series, A Song of Ice And Fire, Lord of the Rings, Dune, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Neuromancer. Most sci-fi and fantasy, really.

Movies: Hot Fuzz, Gladiator, Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim, Terminator series, Alien series, Super Troopers, Anchorman, Pan's Labyrinth, The Machinist, No Country For Old Men, Pulp Fiction, Grindhouse, The Mist. I've been on a big foreign movie kick lately(specifically Asian). Oldboy, Dragon, and Shaolin are a few standouts.

Music: Prog rock/metal of all sorts. Namely Opeth, Gojira, Devin Townsend/Strapping Young Lad, Mastodon, Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd, Yes, Between the Buried and Me, Dream Theater, Into Eternity, System of a Down, Sonata Arctica, Rhapsody, Blind Guardian, Arch Enemy. Music is central to my life, and I wouldn't be the person I am without it(what with building guitars and working at a music store). I love talking about music and listening to new things. I love cheesy power metal, blast-beat-filled death metal, experimental ambient rock, atonal and/or dissonant prog metal, bizarre mashups, anything that is unique, different, or not what I usually listen to. Give me something new to listen to!

Food: Italian, Mexican and Japanese
Six things I could never do without
Music, video games, good food, good friends, energy drinks(yes, that's only 5)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Guitar designs, songs I should write, the meaning of life, the nature of reality, philosophy, religion. My mind wanders a lot.
On a typical Friday night I am
In the shop, working wood in one way or another, or out with friends drinking and playing board games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a little more wary and/or skeptical than most. Given reason, however, I'm a very loyal friend.
You should message me if
You like video games, heavy metal music, guitars, or if you think I'm a pretty cool dude.
