My main interests are the arts and politics. Especially films and books, but I also enjoy theatre, music and stand up comedy as well. I like playing games too, both board games and computer games. I try to stay on top of current events. I am interested in equality, economics and gender politics as well.
I am equally at home indoors or outdoors, I started running last year and I am finding it a great way to relax. I have always enjoyed country walks or exploring a new town or city.
I am a bit of a geek and have a lot hobbies which I dabble in, from making games to blogging. My goal in life is to be an author or political writer or documentary filmmaker or all of the above. I like trying out the unusual things you find in London, recently I have tried Secret Cinema, The Lost Lectures and The Festival of the Spoken Nerd. If any of these things sound interesting to you then I am sure we will get along.
When I can get time off work I travel. Last year I visited The Netherlands, Austria and Poland. This year I am going further with China, Russia and Iceland. I plan to visit as many countries as possible.
Generally when I am not writing, crafting, working or traveling I like a few drinks or a game with friends on a quite night. Or if there is an interesting event on somewhere or a gig or an exhibition that sounds equally fun.
I try to keep on top of current films. I especially like documentaries (Errol Morris is my favourite director), when done well they entertaining and moving. I'll watch most things apart from reality TV.
In terms of music I like a bit of everything (I know that's not very helpful). Right now, I am mainly listening to VNV Nation - I discovered them recently and can't get over how good they are. But I am interested in most music that is broadly "alternative". I will give anything a go apart from bland X-Factor pop or misogynist R&B.
There are too many good books to name but some which have made a big impact on me are Brave New World, The Wasp Factory, The Player of Games, The House of Leaves, and Dune, to name but a few. I am reading Perdido Street Station by China Mieville right now.
Music - I can't go anywhere without something to listen to on the way
My watch - being on time is important to me
My phone - sorry, but I am lost without it
Films - always a good way to spend time
Something to look forward to - what else is life for?
