My self-summary
Here's the part where I'd sell myself, liking long walks on the beach, hiking, netflix, etc etc, and that's true, but it's not really what defines me. I'm the most straightforward and honest person you'll ever meet. I don't play games, I have no agenda, I think of others before myself. A coworker once said, "it's hard to find someone so true these days." I like to think it's because of my honor and treating everyone from janitors to senior scientists with respect. That doesn't mean I don't have flaws, everyone does. It does mean I know what they are and try to improve them. I'd like to think I'm self aware.

Now why am I here? Admittedly I'm rather lonely. That doesn't mean I don't have friends and colleagues I speak to on a regular basis, it means I don't have intimacy. I don't share my problems, hopes, or dreams with anyone. I'd really like to, to have a connection with someone special. There's more to life than work, but that's all I seem to do lately. I take great pride in the work I do, it demonstrably helps people. I'm a molecular biologist, I've done cancer research, currently doing genetic engineering. But I still am missing something important.

I believe every relationship should be grounded in friendship, so if you'd like to do something fun and get to know me better please feel free to message me.
What I’m doing with my life
Working at a biotech startup. Going with the flow, Living in the moment. Trying to go on every adventure I can, traveling, amassing some savings. Working on my personal projects, music, fiction writing, while trying to become a better scientist and continue to make a difference leaving the world a better place.
I’m really good at
Biology, science in general, and problem solving.
Making new friends.
Causing people to laugh and smile.
Looking at the big picture.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile. I'm the guy while walking by will make eye contact with strangers. I'm open and approachable. People ask me for help or directions.

Note that I don't have a Facebook. I enjoy my privacy and I'm not looking for any sort of external validation. Also it's impersonal. If you'd like to know something, just ask me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love music with energy. Trance especially melodic, goth, industrial, hard rock. But really I don't restrict myself to any one genre and have found excellent tracks from all genres.

Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy is my favorite book as it sort of portrays the wacky way I look at life. I'm very much like Ford Prefect. Alice in Wonderland is pretty cool too as it's a journey into a strange unknown.

BladeRunner and Aliens are my favorite films. Love the Mad Max films, Fury Road was a masterpiece.
I like kungfu films, especially Shaw Brothers stuff from the 70s, I also adore samurai movies. John Dies at the End, was great (the books are excellent as well). Big Lebowski (I have a rug story as well).

X-files, Ash vs Evil dead, Game of Thrones (go dragons, wooo), Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Ghost in the Shell, Supernatural.

I'm also fond of Dr Who as I've got a lot in common with the 10th Doctor.
I'm also a big fan of MLP:FIM. It's a really good lighthearted show.
Also Rick and Morty. I absolutely love Rick and Morty.
Six things I could never do without
Nature and animals
The drive to better myself
My honor
My books and the hunger for knowledge
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future
Bushido and Philosophy.
The meaning of life.
and Equines.

Sounds like a book title doesn't it?
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't have typical Friday nights. If something isn't happening I try and make it happen.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a sucker for historical dramas: Rome, Vikings, The White Queen, Spartacus, The Tudors.
You should message me if
You think there's more to life than money and the accumulation of objects. Nobody will remember your stuff, only how you treated them and influenced their lives.
You want to dance in the rain. It's just water.
You're open minded, experimental, and intelligent.
