My self-summary
I am a fan of things, like most people. Things with words on and things that make sounds. Sometimes things that make the sounds of words.

Apparently some people like to exchange complex thoughts through the medium of text and with the help of electricity. Hopefully some of those people will see this and respond but who knows.

If the above paragraphs haven't given it away I am a bit of a dick. But in an amusing and endearing way. I would say that though wouldn't I?
What I’m doing with my life
Working and sleeping for the most part. But apparently that's how it works. Any fresher ideas let me know.

I recently started working in east London which is... interesting.
I’m really good at
Using many words to say basically nothing at all. See above.
The first things people usually notice about me
My face? Or possibly my tendency to match my tie to my socks. Inspired by John Snow of Channel 4 fame.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm hesitant to just list a bunch of stuff. I read quite a lot by normal people's standards. I read that a heavy reader in the UK only reads 4 books a year which is disgusting. I'm always reading at least two.

I generally enjoy - is enjoy the right word? - dystopian fiction. So Brave New World, obviously. Nineteen Eighty Four, The Road etc. Song of Ice and Fire was totally something else.

I also ready a lot of non fiction around the social sciences: politics, philosophy, evolutionary theory. Also trying to get a handle on economics. So far I'm convinced no one has a clue about anything. Or something.

I studied film at uni so I have quite a healthy appetite for movies. I will resist listing them as we will no doubt have a bunch in common 'cause who on earth doesn't watch movies?

TV is also pretty not bad. The Wire, South Park, Mad Men and Lost are in my opinion some of the best. I'm currently blizing my way through West Wing at an inhuman rate. Can't believe I left it so long.

Food is pretty good, too. Apparently comes under the same heading as TV etc. I try to eat as healthily as possible but try is definitely the operative word.
Six things I could never do without
This is hard, considering how I have already told you how much I like things. I guess we'll dispense with the pedantic necessity to be literal about these things.
Laptop connected to the Internet
A good book or my kindle
Peanut butter
24 hour news (unless this is covered by point 1?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Stuff and that. Oh, and my plan for world domination. Watch this space.
On a typical Friday night I am
What is a typical Friday? I like to go for a few beers. I'm passed the point where I really enjoy getting wasted so either a few drinks with friends, movies and takeaway or something similar is good.
