I love to learn and jump from one challenge to another, I get bored easily with doing the same things day in and day out. I'm looking for a mind mate more than anything else, someone I can connect with in a way that will always drive to push me to learn, to understand so that I can talk with my partner with a renewed energy every day.
So I don't look aimless, my long term life goals are as follows: Start a career with the Foreign Service or spend time doing network security professionally. With enough hard work and if I have a bit of luck on my side those things may overlap. It took a long time for me to realize that well planned, articulated goals are an integral part of achieving that which a person wants most.
Unless you're exceptionally unique, like Astronaut Janitor unique, we'll have some kind of overlapping interest or history.
I can also drink Earl Grey tea and recite most of Carl Sagan's Cosmos series when in the right mood.
When you see me, it's that I'm bombastic and serious.
When you look at me, it's my hair, my face and how tired my eyes have started to look.
When you love me, it's my mind, body and soul.

After going through the 1,000 movies you must see before you die book, I realize that I will need to spend a lifetime watching movies.
I am partial to Thai food but am down for really anything. I dig alternative lifestyles along with the Chicago classics. So everything from freegan turmeric spiced chopped potato dishes served at a Food Not Bombs to a dipped Beef with hot peppers at an Al's Beef.
Just don't use the word "Foodie" around me, it upsets me.
Music really comes and goes with me, though the last few concerts that I was at were The Books, The Faint and Of Montreal.
If I'm doing the right thing with my life and why I do what I do on a daily basis. I want to know about myself and about the world.
The long answer is:
There are so many things that run through my mind, if you really feel like chatting about interesting things talk to me from about 2-5 in the morning. I either get very pragmatic, or am reading something I feel like talking about.
I want to know why I'm lonely even when I'm surrounded by the people that I love, why my friends are unhappy, why people have to deal with the most simplistic and easily resolved problems in terribly complicated ways.
Are these questions that can be answered? Can logic lead me there? Or are these non-rational empirical questions?
Hell maybe I'm even doing that wrong. Sometimes I just want to act like a fool to get my mind off it all and I wouldn't mind company.
Occasionally it involves going out and drinking, or grabbing a nice dinner with us chatting the night away until the early hours of the morning.
Sometimes it's a combination.
Also if you're more interested in Asian Fission than Asian Fusion.
If you would watch the reality show "Who wants to fight a Million Bears?"
Or if you're a big ole' nerd.
